I hope Russell ends up being the best player in the draft and we get him. I would love his Roy/Harden game on this team.

Had I known, I would have taken the opportunity to introduce myself.....perhaps at the next town hall meeting. And yes, I took a picture with Wiggins trophy! LOL. Everybody, Wiggins lent the Wolves his Rookie AS game trophy for people to take pictures with.

Which by the way guys, seems like Garnett's debut WON'T be tomorrow but rather sometimes mid next week. So, if you're super excited as I am-----don't blow your load and buy tickets tomorrow (Friday 2.20). He has up to 48 hours due to physicals and blood samplings for all players involved. Flip hinted at a game sometime mid next week which would be vs. the Wizards on the 25th.

One quick tidbit that I found interesting was how perhaps insignificant Nemanja Bjelica is to our future. Flip said some nice complimentary things about him but with another breathe, Flip confesses that he can't even say his name! LOL. Let's be honest, if you had a serious prospect; you know how to say his name cause you have spoken about him at length (to the designated European scout, to his immediate family and have visited him on multiple occasions---ie Khan with Rubio). Second, Flip seemed excited at the chance to draft another big----which if we're lucky enough to land Okafor or Towns---it would further delay Bjelica's arrival----if any----here in the US. So guys, if you're waiting for him, you might be waiting some more.

Overall, I'm encouraged by this trade. On the cover, Garnett's NOT going to win us games----cause he's only gonna give us like 20 minutes per. But his mental toughness and preparation to being a true professional of the game will be far greater then the first round pick that we originally surrender for Thad in the first place. We all know first rounders don't all pan out (Williams at 2, Johnson at 4, Flynn at 6 and so on), so when Flip has coached a rock solid cornerstone youth in Garnett and now sees Wiggins and Rubio as such----he's gonna do everything in his powers to get everyone in line.

Enter a man name Kevin Garnett. Let's roll!!!

Thanks for the addendum, what...great for the board to have you and Lipoli on the inside.

The Bjelica comments are interesting, but it also might have just been Flip being a funny man. On the other side of the discussion is this tweet this morning from Doogie...sounds promising.

I think the conversation around Mudiay is interesting. From the game film I have seen, he is clearly a PG....meaning, much of his success will come due to having the ball in his hands and making decisions. I definitely see him as more Westbrook (scoring PG) than Rubio (distributing PG). My interest here is that I, like a couple others, would lean towards taking BPA over positional need. But I think the thing that makes me different than most on this board is that I am not at all convinced that Rubio needs to be our future at PG. Most seem to have pegged Rubio as our future....so I am curious to hear from guys like Lip on what your expectation would be for this team if we drafted Mudiay. I guess you could hypothetically play them together as they have the aggregate size.....but there wouldn't be a poorer shooting backcourt in the NBA. That poses a million and one problems. Just curious.
