While Jaden and Nowell are a focus for this year's summer league, I'm equally interested in seeing how Wright IV plays. I see him as a future rotation PG, hopefully sooner than later.

I'm also looking forward to seeing how Wright plays and develops. I've been watching all the highlights I can find, and I've been consistently impressed by the way he plays on both ends.

I'm tagging along here on the McKinley Wright train. He was very productive at the collegiate level in multiple ways, a lot of which I think will translate to the next level. He reminds me of a young Darren Collison, and I mean that as a compliment considering Collison played 10 years of quality basketball on multiple playoff teams. Both smart, savvy, quick, and well-rounded offensive games as floor generals with pesky defensive ability.

I'd still bring back Jordan McLaughlin and expect him to be closer to the 2019-2020 version of himself, but I like Wright as a developmental piece.

Collison is a terrific comp for Wright, with the only exception being 3-point shooting...Collison was a good 3-point shooter in college, and continued his success in the pros. I recall Wright being a fairly good shooter in HS so I haven't given up on his potential there. But the other aspects of his game are very Collison-like.

Did anyone watch the Wolves summer league team exhibition thing? Here is some video from Wolfson.

Not me, but it looks like Nathan Knight was a man among boys! I like that 2-way signing. The thing to remember is that with the roster of scorers we have, the bar isn't super high for a guy like this to crack the rotation because all he has to do is play a fairly narrow role effectively. Basically be a Center version of Jarred Vanderbilt - hustling, getting rebounds, giving some hard fouls.

The question ultimately will be can he offer some decent paint protection - something both KAT and Naz struggle with and Vanderbilt often doesn't have the size for. It means staying down on pump fakes, maintaining verticality on contesting drives to the hoop, carving out space to ensure team defensive rebounds are corralled, etc.

I just saw the video. Thanks for posting. I had no idea Knight could handle the ball that well. I'll have to check out his standing reach. :)

Hey Monster. Nathan Wright's standing reach is 9'1.5. That's very solid for an NBA PF and minimally acceptable for an NBA C with some hops. So I'm happy. :). Seriously, what I like about him is that he clearly has some skills. And he looks physically strong. I'm already a fan of Wright. We may have to of the best 2-way players in the League this season. Even better is the fact that their names rhyme.

Jaylen Nowell continues to impress. Really like what I've seen from him. Might be another breakout for him at some point. Once again, he might be the reason Malik Beasley gets traded for value elsewhere. We're not there yet, but it's not too crazy of a thought.

Nathan Knight might end up being more than a two-way player here. He's got more game than the typical end of the bench project.

I agree on both Nowell and Knight.

As you might recall, I really liked Nowell coming out of college. I believe you did too. I was watching a bunch of his college videos again the other day. He's always been a really skilled player - good ball-handler, nice athleticism, good 3-point shot and very good mid-range shot. Remember, he hit over 50% of his FG attempts his second/final college season after hitting 45% the year before as a freshman. That was on a fairly high volume of 12 shots per game. He averaged nearly 40% from behind the arc in college on a decent but relatively low volume. He also averaged 5 boards, 3 assists and 1.3 steals in his final college season. So he was clearly an all-around player and not simply a shooter-scorer. He continued to put up similar numbers in his one G-League season, hitting 49% of his FG attempts and 43.6% of his 3-point attempts on a healthy 7 three-point attempts per game. He also averaged 5 rebounds and nearly 4 assists per game. He just turned 22 years old last month and would have been a college senior this past season if he hadn't come out as a sophomore. If he breaks through this season as I think he will, then you're right about how that gives the Wolves more freedom to trade Beasley.

I know very little about Knight. But the more I read and the more video I watch of him, the more intrigued I am about his potential.

As dumb as Rosas can be, you have to give his front office credit for it's ability to identify young talent. He blew it with Culver, but it's worth noting that the guy he really wanted in that draft was Darius Garland and he was really impressive last season. And who knows, maybe this upcoming season will be a breakout for Culver. How much of it is Rosas versus someone else in the organization we'll never know. But I'll give Rosas full credit as the guy in charge.

I believe Knight was another one of those guys that was a guard in HS before growing. Gotta love those late bloomers right? :)

Edit: Lip if you see this I would be curious for you to look in your overhead reach spreadsheet and tell us about how many NBA players have a higher overhead reach than 9'1.5".
