I don't think anyone is yet projecting him as a future all-star. I think it's ridiculous to play him at the PF position, but I think this whole Rosas/Saunders small-ball "system" they're so obsessed with is ridiculous.

In the right role as a wing, preferably the SG position, Okogie can be very good in my view. He's an elite athlete with great speed and hops. Add to that a freakishly long 7'0 wingspan for the SG position and he clearly has the physical foundation to be really good. He also happens to have a high octane motor and a great work ethic to go along with it.

As for his skills, he's a good rebounder with a good nose for the ball. He also has a knack for drawing fouls and he has always hit his free throws at a high clip. He had a tendency to be out of control with the ball going to the hole his rookie season, but improved substantially in that regard last season. His one significant weakness is three-point shooting, but even there his free-throw shooting and career 38% 3-point average in both of his college seasons suggest the potential to develop into at least a decent 3-point shooter as an NBA player and become a very good overall player. Could he develop into an all-star caliber player? I guess he could, but neither I nor anyone else on this Board has gone that far.

I don't think we need to put the breaks on suggesting he can become a really good rotation player on par with Marcus Smart.

You may have a different opinion than me. But I think Marcus smart is a good comparison and ceiling for okogie IF he continue to improve his game. I refer draymond in terms of leadership where like Smart, both are far from being the best player on the team but is looked at as a leader and heart and soul of the team.

As far as your question, I think KG for one definitely reached whatever ceiling he was supposed to have. Billups as well. Il add Love to that group. Lavine ceiling was pegged as Jamal Crawford. You can make a case for Towns and dlo reaching their ceilings. Rasho pretty much end up what I thought he could be. Wayne Ellington made the most of his career. Googs peaked as a wolf before injuries destroyed his career. Marbury? What was Reggie Slater's ceiling? Q's guy Robbie hummel played in the league for a few years.

One guy that came to mind right away was Doug West.

2nd round pick became a serviceable player for the Wolves. What a different era though... he played 9 seasons at SG for the Wolves.

Hit 37 three pointers. (And 27 of those came when the NBA shortened the line.)

Good choice. I will say brandon and bobby jackson reached their ceilings as well. This is a good topic. The opposite of this topic will be crazy fun too.

Did Wally hit his ceiling? Seems like he came close.

I think we got peak Corey Brewer AND Kevin Love in '13-14.

Ray Allen and Brandon Roy certainly had nice runs...
