Finally got all 3 firing and got the win. What a game by Towns. Insane.

Anybody remember what it was about Giannis that had him drop in that draft? I'd definitely love to know Flip's reasoning for grabbing Bazz over him.
Giannis didn't necessarily drop. Remember, there wasn't a ton known about him other than some clips destroying a bunch of random rec league type guys on youtube videos.

I've been arguably the most anti-Bazz guy here since the moment I saw him play. But let's not forget the strong lineage of selfish "me-first" players that have passed through here.
Beasley fit the bill. Rashad McCants. And let's not forget somebody thought it wise that Ricky Davis was his mentor. Steph Marbury. JR Rider. Et al.

It's a funny game. Atlanta is a .500 team. But they looked like the worst team in the league in the two games vs. MN. I can't see how they got to 15 wins if I go by what I've seen. Heck, Paul Millsap looked like the worst player in the league yesterday... and played like it for the final 3 quarters in the last game, too.
Nitpicking flaws is easier. And sometimes, anger is more compelling than complacency or contentment (see recent elections?). That being said, a season is a long haul so it's important to note trends more than occurrences. Last night, the Wolves proved it's a make-or-miss league. Wiggins, Towns and LaVine all went on perfectly timed tears where they made shots. Good win. Time to build this mini stretch of decency into a significant streak of wins.
