Beasley's outside shooting has gone cold, but I love the way he just attacked and hit that floater.

Cam I know this GDT but did see the contract Tatis just got. Holy cow!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. When did the Padres become the Yankees?

They got 1.2 billion dollar tv deal which helps. It's why dodgers and Yankees can spend so much. There tv contracts are crazy high.

Yep, I'm in. Nowell should be getting fed plenty of minutes this season. No excuse not to.

I agree that defenses can simply go away from him too then leave him open on offense. So he won't add much on defense but kill the offense. Even when he's on the best player they still beat him up too often. Guys like Beal or LeBron of course. It doesn't really matter much if you're a good defender on them, their offense is so good the defense doesn't matter.

He's like a non injurious car accident that occasionally results in a frivolous payout

Give me some Reid/Towns minutes. I'm really intrigued at how that would work out. If this was 2010, those guys would be starting together playing 30-plus minutes a night.

That's so crazy. When I watched baseball in the 90's they had Tony Gywnn and then for 20 years the only Padre I remember is Trevor Hoffman.

They went from an after thought franchise to this?

We will see it again...not sure we can guard the shooters with that lineup but sure would like to try
