Yeah, Adams would be a good pickup. Obviously KAT would still play significant minutes at Center, especially in 4th quarters, but we've seen time and again that KAT just can't get the job done defensively as a full time Center. Also, can you imagine the screens he'd set for Ant!?
Adams
KAT
McDaniels
Edwards
DLO
Now your talkin'.....

Adams/ Rubio swap would be good for the wolves. It all depends on what the pelicans do with lonzo ball though. If they keep lonzo, then rubio wont make sense for them and they could get a better offer and player for adams.
Ive been thinking about a Culver for Zach Collins swap. Collins hasnt played for a year but culver had a wasted year himself. Collins is a mobile 7 footer who can play alongside both Kat and Reid ang gives us some rim protection. Were not going to count on him as a starter but he could play rotation minutes. Its a small move but makes sense for both teams.. Culver can play alongside Simons as their backup guards.

Adam's for Rubio I'm in on that!
Other guards the Pelicans have is NAW and Kira Lewis Jr.
Zach Collins is a RFA. How much are you willing to pay him to sign? I was curious about him a few weeks ago. His per 36 numbers are pretty underwhelming. Around 8 Rebounds a game? Meh and I like the kid and was really wanting him in that draft. Maybe he will still turn out and if he still had a year on his contract like Culver yeah I would pull the trigger on that deal.

I was really high on Zach Collins coming out of college. But he's turned out to be one of my misses in my draft prognostications. And I'm not sure he can stay healthy. I don't know how much he'd cost to sign as a FA, but I know we don't have enough room under the luxury tax to sign him and still sign both Bolmaro and Vando. Maybe a sign-and-trade. Culver for Collins seems reasonable.
I'd still make Adams my main target with Favors as my #2. If the goal is to get a better defensive big to start alongside KAT, but also get an experienced vet with winning NBA experience, then Collins wouldn't fit the bill. I'm not even sure how good he is defensively. On the other hand, maybe he can still become the player I thought he'd become when he was drafted. In that case, the Wolves should go get him.

I would guess Portland is going to have zero interest in paying Culver over 6 million next season as they have their own Lux tax concerns. I would assume they would rather just let Collins walk and sign someone else for cheap. Honestly I don't know that Collins is worth more than a vet min at this point so I don't see a path for a sign and trade for him.
Looking at the Blazers roster honestly Kanter is somewhat intriguing to add to the Wolves. I Know he wouldn't help defensively but he would bring a guy that can score and rebound the heck out of the ball and I believe he is a good teammate. He will cost more than the vet min so maybe Whiteside if he came that cheap would be a better fit.
Just something to consider in terms of FA bigs, guys like Noah Vonleh are available. He doesn't turn 26 till August of this year. #foreveryoung

Im thinking sign and trade collins for culver for culvers money for the next 2 years. Culver has no meaningful spot on team. Jaden Mcdaniels should be the starting 3 and main wing defender. Ant is the cornerstone. We then have beasley, okogie, nowell and even some dlo at the 2 as options I prefer more than culver.
Im not saying we add collins to be the starting 4. Im looking at him as the 4th/5th big in the rotation. We all agree that a starting level big should be the top priority this season.

Here are some defensive bigs.
Jae Crowder-Would be great, but I highly doubt Phoenix would trade him. Two years left at 9 and 10 mil. per year.
Paul Millsap-Still a good defender. Free agent. Would probably rather sign with a better team.
D. Finney-Smith-No way Dallas trades him. Makes only 4 mil. next year.
Maxi Kleber- With that shooting, no way Dallas trades him either. Ugh.
Nic Batum-Career resurgence. Two more years at 9 mil. per. Meh. I probably wouldn't pull the trigger to get him.
Zubac-I highly doubt they'd trade him.
Mason Plumlee-Less flexible defensively than those other guys, but a good defender in the paint. At 8 mil. per for the next two years, I could see the Pistons possibly biting for some kind of asset given how bad they are.
Kevon Looney-Has a 5 mil. player option. Given their tax situation and investment in Wiseman, I could potentially see G.S. not re-signing him.
Daniel Theis-Free agent. I like the toughness he brings. Ein starker Mann.
Marc Gasol-Porque no? Para un ano? Con Rubio y Bolmaro? I highly doubt he'd want to come here though.
Willie Cauley-Stein-If he doesn't show Dallas anything in these playoffs, I can see them letting him walk. Maybe reuniting with KAT could spark something decent out of him?
Out of those guys, Plumlee might be the best reasonable possibility. It would take more than Culver though. What do the rest of you guys think of any of those options?

Theis seems to be one of these sneaky-good players. He'd be a decent "Plan B" if we don't go for a bigger fish like Adams or Turner.
Again, this assumes the front office agrees with the premise that we need another vet big that can take some pressure off of KAT defensively. I'm not sure Rosas is on the same page (?).

I trimmed your list down to those who I'd consider realistic possibilities. Like you, I wouldn't pull the trigger on Batum. I don't trust his durability enough to commit $9M a year for two years to him. WCS brings almost nothing to the table and I wouldn't anticipate a spark out of him at this point in his career. I think Plumlee, Looney and Theis might be worth pursuing. My first pick in this group would be Plumlee who I think we could get straight up for Culver. I doubt we can afford Looney, which means we'd have to do a salary-clearing deal to sign him. I'm not even sure we could afford Theis without a salary-clearing deal. At the end of the day, the Wolves will have to make a trade if they want to bring in another big. Not matter what, I'd still re-sign Vando.
Here are the veteran bigs I'd pursue via trade in order of preference:
1. Myles Turner
2. Adams
3. Favors
4. Plumlee
Turner is the only one I'd consider giving up Beasley to get. And I'm still on the fence given Turner's difficulty staying healthy.
