Doncic has been largely contained in this game and in fact has given away the ball a bunch to the Wolves. It's the Mavs defense that is the star so far.

We desperately need someone to get hot. Maybe D-lo can do his clutch thing?

Much better run here. All starts with the defense and rebounding.

Mavs with those p n r dunks make them an effective offense even with the turnovers. Mavs defense stops the pnr better than any team the Wolves have faced in a long, long time.

PatBev with the "want to" play of the night. Need to convert tho, otherwise that timeout could really hurt down the stretch.

PBev is such a junkyard dog, my goodness the way he dug out that loose ball. He's really the only guy on the Wolves matching Dallas in terms of intensity in this game.

And yet he's been ineffective overall. Not his best game by far. Need more of these hustle plays to balance it out. Get more possessions for Minnesota. Let KAT and D-Lo operate.

It's basically one and a half stars (Dinwiddie being the half) and a bunch of really good role players that can mostly hit open 3's and know how to defend. I mean, Maxi Kleber for example may be one of the least sexiest players in the league in terms of name recognition and pizazz to his game, but damn he is so solid.

Ant's shot selection raises my blood pressure.
