I like Malik Beasley, but man he's a bad defender. His lateral movement is worst than alot of forwards. Also makes alot of bad decisions. Having him and DLo as our starting backcourt works offensively, but is a complete liability defensively.

Half time thoughts:

*Even though we are down by 2 on the scoreboard KAT makes a massive difference on both sides of the ball for us. Everything just flows better.

*Why persist on playing Layman minutes at PF? Especially with the emergence of Vandy and return of Towns. Its not fair on Layman, the team, or the fans that have to watch it.

*Edwards needs to slow down and let the game come to him. Playing too fast which is causing him make poor decisions.

*Culvers a solid player. Never going to blow out the box score but generally makes the right plays.

*Beasley is streaky shooter and tonight he's on fire! He was due.

*More Vandy and KAT minutes together please.

I agree. He tries hard, gets down in a stance, etc. but being a bit on the short side for a wing + being slow laterally is a bad combination.

As others have said, 6th man is probably a really good role for him on a playoff-caliber team. But name a guy on our current roster better than him? Culver can't shoot; Edwards can't shoot; Okogie can't shoot; Nowell is still too green.

Spurs are just flat out the more disciplined team. Massive turnover differential between these two squads and that's the difference in the game.
