I want the guys who have the best TS% on the team to score more. Last year, Dieng at .601, Belly at .594 and Towns at .590 led our team in TS%. These are the guys who I want taking more shots than they did last year. Lavine, Bazz and Wiggins were bunched close together, all in the .540s. Ricky was at .529.

Believe me, I've been as critical as anyone about Wiggins' efficiency, or lack thereof. However, he ended last season very strong and ended up at a respectable TS% of 54%. While I certainly don't want him forcing up bad shots, he has too much potential on that end not to continue finding ways to get him a lot of looks.

Also, you can't look at TS% in a vacuum. You have to look at their role on the team and usage % as well as TO %. If we were to suddenly make Dieng more of a focal point on offense, his scoring might go up, but his efficiency (in terms of missed shots AND turnovers) might go down. Also, he simply isn't capable of creating certain types of shots.

I think there is no question KAT can carry a bigger load and Bjelly can probably be used more effectively as well. But if anything, that could actually help Wiggins become more efficient since there will be multiple pressure points on the defense.

I agree. The point I was making was that unless Wiggs is more efficient I don't want him taking shots away from guys who are more efficient shooters. And I agree that KAT and Belly should be taking more shots next year. Wiggins actually takes quite a few shots, so if his efficiency goes up, he'll score more. Same with Zach-I'd like to see a similar amount of shots but with higher efficiency. Dieng probably shoots around the same amount.

- Unlike Lip, I'm more annoyed by Westbrook and his constant scowl and histrionics.

- Wiggins is not going to become a great rebounder like Leonard. If there is one skill that rarely evolves much after age 20, it's rebounding. I'm not suggesting that he can't improve a bit in that area, but he simply doesn't have the hands or nose for the ball that Leonard does.

- On the other hand, I can definitely see Wiggins becoming a more prolific scorer. Leonard is a little like Jimmy Butler in that he has had to work his ass off to develop his offensive game and finally broke through the 20 PPG barrier in his 5th season. Well, Wiggins did that in his second season. Scorers usually peak between season 4 and 8, so imagine how much better he can get.

- Back to OKC.......Who woulda thunk Dion Waiters giving some productive minutes?

I had to finish up yard work so I didn't get in my Tuesday night pickup ball.

Waiters to me is OKC's wildcard sorta like JR Smith has been for many teams in the playoffs only Waiters isn't that good. Waiters does have it in him to have some good production though and crazy enough he is still only 24. I'm not suggesting he has crazy upside or anything but he could still round out his game at some point to be a solid guy.

I suspect this series will be the final straw that results in some sort of "coach's challenge" flag to have a play reviewed.

The second half of Game 6 of the 2012 WCFs remains one of the worst officiated games I ever saw. (up there with the infamous Sac/LA 2003 Game 6).

SAS entered the 2nd half up 15. They lost by 8. Harden flopped all over the court in the second half. And the Spurs had 2 or 3 huge three pointers wiped away with bad (questionable at best) charging calls against them. OKC seemed to get every conceivable call that half. It was surreal.

And I didn't have a dog in that fight. But it was so outrageous I remember it vividly several years later. That one half of one game makes what's happened in this series seem very slight. I've never seen officials get so caught up collectively in the vibe of the crowd than in that game. SAS got screwed.

Oddly enough... since that game, a lot has happened. And I like OKC less now.

I think it's important for this team to make a big jump next year, just like OKC did after Durant's 3rd year?? If we wallow in this small improvement year after year, I think fans will be frustrated. I don't think we'll be stuck in 8th seed hell for 7 straight years, but I' don't know any different as a wolves fan. Hoping Thibs, Towns can make us a top 5 team in a couple years.

The win prediction thread is going to be interesting next season.
