A deal for 5/6 I would like is the pick to washington for gortat and oubre jr.
Gortat fills a need and is beter than dieng now and kelly oubre jr will be an elite 3 and d guy in a few years. Great fit with wiggins and lavine.

Why do the wizards do this

It's a wonderful counter to teams that go small, because we can basically stay big with KAT + Noel/WCS without losing mobility.
Yep that's one of the reasons why Pek simply doesn't fit this team going forward. Too slow, can't jump and now with his lack of lift struggles to get above his defenders to score. He was never athletic, but after his latest setback it appears he's lost what athletic ability he had.
Completely agree with the mobility aspect and guys like Noel, WCS or Adams would be a great fit.
Adams!? Homer. Not sure I'd put him in the same league as WCS or Noel in terms of his ability to guard in space. He certainly knows how to knock some bodies around in the paint though.

They wont do it as it is. We need to add some players in the deal. If we can get noel or wcs for the 5/6 pick, will you be interested in offering them to the wizards and see if they take them for gorat/oubre?

You would likely have to sweeten all those deals.

I like that you're thinking of adding a big, first and foremost. That's where our attention should be. I don't think Gortat's available, though. Obviously, every team has a price, but he's one of the main cogs of a shaky Washington team that I don't think is anywhere close to blowing it up yet. He's been a consistent big that you can almost guarantee 13.0 / 9.0 / 1.5 and nice efficiency each year. Not to mention he's signed for three more years at about $12M per, which looks to be a ridiculous bargain as soon as next year. I'm telling you this, but you already know. That's why you covet him, and even though he's 32, I'd like to get him too. I just don't see Washington moving him at this moment even for a No. 5 or No. 6 overall pick. It's a good suggestion, though, no doubt.

Just watch the controversial last play between OKC and SAS and see how much ground Adams covers in that one play alone. He's as mobile as they come for a big man.
OKC would have lost that game had it no been for Adams hustling and getting back on D. (Even the fans were trying to hold him back)

Here is a massive hypothetical. Say the Thunder know that Durant is going to bolt and instead of retooling they decide to blow it up and rebuild. They trade Westbrook to the Lakers for the first or second pick, Russell, and parts. They put Ibaka on the block, what would you trade for him? Keep in mind he only has one year left of his contract.

Ibaka kind of had a stinker of a season, but I'd be willing to throw our likely No. 5 or No. 6 overall pick at OKC or him. He's just a year removed of a five year run of blocking 2.4 shots or more per game. Not only that, but last year he shot 37.6% from three with over 1.2 made per game. We talk about it often, but a rim protector that can stretch the floor has a lot of value and quite frankly is hard to come by in this league. Forget about KD and Westbrook, maybe the Thunder think they can roll with an Adams/Kanter frontcourt moving forward. I'd still see if I could pry Ibaka away after the 12.6 / 6.8 type season he just had. Oh, and he's 26. I'm not sure we'd get anything close to that with the draft pick itself. I'd worry about paying him when it gets to that point.

I agree. I would shop our pick in hopes to get a young athletic big with great defense or defense potential. Ibaka, Noel, and WCS are names I would pursue and give picks 4-6 for. Top 3 I'd probably keep or want more in return.
