I remember during the draft there were reports thibs tried hard to get back in to the 2nd. Not sure what player.

Nick Young is picking up where Klay left off. Some interesting lineups out there.
PJ Tucker was looking like an old dude out there (playing center) but giving full effort.
Gordon attacking the rim tonight. Fun to see him back to something close to what he was earlier in his career.
This is what i was telling you guys this summer when most of you were pining for us to sign him. He was showing a lot of wear and tear late last season.
I had you in mind when I wrote that post. :) The last couple mins he has looked more worthwhile (except that flagrant foul which was debatable) but I think the biggest reason people wanted him was people were so tired of having no tough guys that could back it up on this team. I don't think most people thought we would end up with Butler AND Taj. He got a 4 year deal right? It's not a ton of money but those last 2 years you do have to wonder how effective he will be.

Well the Rockets are going to be awful if Paul plays like this.

Yeah, seems to me PJ Tucker played a pretty big role last night.
I was a big PJ Tucker guy until we got Butler, at which point we sort of solved the "get a big wing with toughness" problem.

I actually see Bazz as our PJ Tucker. I'm convinced that Bazz will be a huge key for the Wolves this season. He can bring toughness, energy, rebounding and scoring off the bench. His defense has developed to the point where he's no longer a significant defensive liability and he has shown he can actually be a defensive asset. I'd love to see improved 3-point efficiency from him.

Bazz has never once had a net positive rating in his multiple years with the Wolves. In other words, we have always been a better team when he sits versus when he plays (even if better means we are just less bad). Again, I love the hustle and toughness, but he doesn't make winning plays defensively and too often effs the spacing up offensively, leading to easy buckets going the other way on misses. He's a classic case of the reality being different than the eye test.
