If you are not going to win it all at least be entertaining and score a bunch of points.
Again, it comes down to whether the Wolves add a good defensive big to play next to KAT. H-Gomez has talent and plays hard on both ends. But he's not much of a defender. That means our starting lineup has only one good defenders, Okogie. In contrast, DLO and KAT are really bad defenders. I'd say Beasley is a slightly below average defender. H-Gomez is pretty bad defensively. DLO, KAT and Beasley give us plenty of scoring punch in our starting lineup. So we don't need to have scorers at the other two positions. Meanwhile, Okogie has become decent and pretty efficient on the offensive end. KAT play more on the perimeter with his 3-point shooting and passing. So this team is set up for a defensive shot-blocking C or PF in the starting lineup. I don't know yet who that might be, but acquiring that player has to be the top priority in the off-season. There are a few guys in the draft who might fit that bill. We just can't go into next season having to score 130 points every game to win.

Unless the big can dribble and shoot the 3, then I don't see Ryan and Rosas going for him (whoever that big is in theory). Even if it might make the most sense. They obviously are prioritizing offense and the 3 ball. So IDK, we are hoping for a unicorn type of great defender but can shoot 3P and dribble too, oh and defend in space and is relatively quick. I actually thought Dieng would have been a decent fit sliding KAT to the 4. Dieng can't dribble drive though, nor can he defend in space worth a shit and is slow, so he failed at a couple key areas I think Rosas wants.
What killed the Wolves was some just terrible offensive possessions late and then just not making some good looks at the baskets when they got them. Is the defense bad? Yes its not good but what killed this group was especially that bench group where they didn't do well. on the offensive end. Culver had some terrible possessions but he wasn't the only guy.
James Johnson for Dieng continues too look like a pretty good move.
DLO is pretty good on offense. I thought his defense in this game was not horrendous. I think he can use his size to his advantage. One positive is that if you hide him on a player that is basically just a shooter he has decent length to contest a bigger wing shooter. in 6 games Russell is averaging almost 25 and 8 with a 61% TS%. thats an ok start...lol
I thought this was one of Juancho's best games as a Wolf and I just looked at the box score. I didn't realize he filled up the stat sheet that much. He still has some face palm moments but his level of play would be great as a bench player especially because it does feel like he can be an outside shooter and this franchise has been looking for guys like that forever.
Okogie continues to look like a keeper.
Naz Reid was kinda meh in this one but he still did some good things.

Just get a player/s that can play...well lets not get any more perimeter players tat arent' shooters but I don't feel like this team has things so locked down they should be looking to fill role X with a draft pick. Get a good player and keep building this. I'm ok if to get to the next step we are trying to ouscore opponents. There are plenty of examples of teams who took the next step of adding various players to help their roster especially defensively. There aren't many guys like we want to to fit next to Towns thats a reality. I'd LOVE to get that guy but so would a lot of teams. If healthy the guy that would be really awesome is Isaac from Orlando but I don't think they are going to be giving him up anytime soon.
