We should of had Kat and/ or Wiggins in at all times in the 4th. Not enough fire power without them

Wiggins played well. KAT played well. But only 10 shots for KAT? That's not even remotely close to enough, especially considering the circumstances.

Okogie is not a good NBA player right now. Hustle is not enough. He's one of the league's worst shooters. And he is absent-minded on defense and loses sight of his guy at times. It's too be expected because he's a rookie. I don't see the star player or all star or even legit starter others see.

Deng looks like a worthwhile NBA player again. But he does some DUMB things. It's weird, but even longtime vets when they get a bit older, they almost seem to get dumber some times. He lost the ball to Korver in the frontcourt and basically intentionally fouled one of the league's all-time best shooters 85 feet from the hoop. That's a gimme two points. That's incredibly stupid... for anybody, but especially an old guy.

Bayless is fine for a 4th PG.

So Saric has 3 points in the past 2 games. Ummmm...

KAT blew off Saunders again. That makes 2x now? The star player has a lot of say in who the next coach is... but if that star player runs roughshod over that coach... it sets a terrible example for the rest of the team. A situation to keep an eye on.

Okogie's defense was pretty good. Abe is right he lost guys a couple times but he was giving the Wolves something on that end for sure. I agree his offense was bad. He needs to chill some.

Bayless played some pretty good D for a large chunk of this game. Asking him to defend Mitchell was too much. His team defense in the first half was terrific. He did everything you can ask of the guy all things considered.

Jared Terrell played some solid minutes. The first 2 fouls he had were pretty weak. Korver stepped on his foot while he was playing good defense. He had some solid passes within the offense. He looked more comfortable out there. He tied Towns for the lead of the team with -2. They held the fort with him out there. He played the type of role in this game you would hope he would be for the next 4-5 years (on a cheap deal) or whatever. Play solid make a few plays don't screw up when your number is called. Guys like that near the end of the bench have value.

Wiggins was absolutely terrific.

Its hard to not have a good player like Taj out there but Jim Pete was right its hard not to see Tolliver out there when you need spacing and 3's to get back in the game. Its just a few seconds but he probably could have waived the white flag at the end of the game also. tough to complain on a night like this where they put up a plenty decent fight against a good team while being pretty severely undermanned

I was watching the guys during a stoppage. I was comparing KBD to various player he was standing next to. He looks taller than Wiggins who is plenty tall. He looked taller than Dieng. Dude is a tall long player. It sure would be nice if he turns out to be a valuable rotation player.

I think the kat/wiggs high pnr should be something we implement regularly and not just when rose and teague are out. They have pretty good chemistry and one of them always seems to get an open look because the defense can't sag nor play up nor send 2 at one of them.

Its unfortunate that the wolves never made a real effort to maximize that potential.

Mmmm, I think they did try two years ago. In the front end of that season, we did a ton of "point Wiggins" sets, with Ricky sharing a lot of the half court ball handling with Wig. It didn't go so well for the same reasons we often see now: Lots of ball handling problems, getting stripped, minimal assists, long 2's, etc. Eventually Thibs went back to rely far more on Ricky as the season progressed.

Now may be Wiggins will get better and what we saw last night will be more of the norm. But we say that every time after a good game from him, only to be sorely disappointed for a few weeks. And then another good game comes along!

I was really surprised Utah let him get to his right hand so easily. The book on him is to take that right hand away and make him go left. A good defensive team oughta know that.

I don't think anyone can really stop him from going right when hes in that going downhill and feeling aggressive mode. It isn't like okogie barrelling straight in; wiggs has a euro step and a spin which can be still hard to stop when going full speed. Thats the problem with wiggs, he only really limits himself.

I say let him play with it too maximize what we have or to even try to increase his trade value. I will take the turnovers if he continues to be in attack mode and looking to make a play for others. Even the first jazz game, I liked the way he played outside of all those missed lay ups.

Easier said than done... I was asking the same thing about the Wolves defense on Joe Ingles. I don't know if that guy can dribble with his right hand.

And it's not the scoring part... he's setting up Gobert and others by going left... EVERY time.

I don't know if that's fair Q. He's had some good games along with some clunkers, but I see more consistency in his performance since Thibs was let go. Let's hope he continues to trend in that direction.

I think thibs has little to do with it. I think its more about not having teague and rose in the line up.
