Hes way too controlling on the court and players look out of sorts. Its no surprise that the more we practice, the worse we get on offense. We are back to tough offense. Teague dribble for 20 minutes where he passes it off to someone for a contested jumper. Or pass it to KAT and let him iso. Those are the only 2 plays we ran with our starters. And if Wiggs wasnt camped at the 3 pt line, he was back to trying to iso. Where was the cutting? The post up? Give due to Covington because he made some contested shots, but teague refuses (or its by design) to draw and kick or pass the ball up on the break. I think we'll see covington eventually run less down the court because Teague will NEVER man the ball up.
Our defense has gotten better, so got to give thibs some credit.
Our defense has gotten better because Covington is a hell of a defender and KAT has made great strides as a defender this season. He just turned 23 last week. Wiggins, who is not much older than KAT, has also improved his defense. Saric is also a pretty good defender, which has surprised me. Aside from the addition of Covington and Saric along with the natural development of our young guys, I don't know how much of the defensive improvement is attributable to Thibodeau. I'll give him some credit for it though. However, you can't win with defense in the NBA anymore. Just look at tonight's scores. 10 of the 13 winning teams tonight scored over 115 points. And just 11 of the 26 teams that played tonight scored under 110 points while only 1 team scored under 100. It's definitely an offensive League. And the Wolves' roster is particularly oriented towards the offensive side of the ball.

After a few practices, we are back to the teague dribble iso game.
As much as I dump on Teague, Thibs is the much bigger issue.
Man, that's an interesting theory, c-c...it does appear Thibs' practices have made this team much less watchable and effective, after a promising couple of games where the team just played instinctively. And while I don't know it for sure, I suspect he has gone back to his old style of grueling mid-season practices. After the Memphis loss, KAT (and a couple other players) talked often about what a "long, tough week" it had been. Sinice they had played the same schedule that Memphis had (and Memphis had to travel too), it would seem that Memphis' week was "longer" than ours...I think it may have been Thibs' practices that made the week so "long".

Zion is gonna be a great pro. He plays his ass off, is completely unselfish and is a wrecking ball. I don't think he has a 20 year career in front of him, but he's gonna give you a damn good 10 years while that 45 inch vertical is still good.

Teague hates thibs.
I saw that quote. That quote plus other comments by Teague over the past year make it pretty clear that Teague doesn't like playing for Thibodeau. Neither did Crawford, which is why Jamaal gave up over $4 million just to get the heck out of here.

We have 4 pgs on the roster, but none signed past this year. I think Teague is going to opt out. He wanted to join a winning team and play with Butler, but with Butler gone, thibs blasting his voice is getting louder with every passing practice.
