Can play either wing position, still shoots it well from three-point range (39.2% on 2.5 3PA over last three years), does not require guaranteed minutes or even a certain amount of minutes, lack of perceived interest in him signifies he'd likely sign for the minimum.
I'd still prefer David Nwaba, but you have to have a plan in case that doesn't happen, and with how the Wolves front office have been sitting on their hands, it's looking like Nwaba won't happen.
Cam I'm sorry to say but advanced stats say Afflalo is done and one of the worst players in the league. His offensive impact is horrific. He isn't a good or worthwhile defender anymore either. We may as well pay and play a G-league type player at this point.
I'm aware that advanced statistics view him unfavorably. He wasn't necessarily good last year and like I said, his game has fallen off, but if surrounded by decent players I think his impact as a role player can be elevated. He can make open shots and knows how to play the game. There are other options, but he's on my list.

PS: Joakim Noah actually looks pretty good physically and in summer runs. That's a lot different from saying he's playing well against NBA competition, but he's looking a lot more like Chicago Noah than New York Noah. I wonder if Thibs is tracking his situation.

If he's healthy he sure fits an area of weakness in our roster. But so many question marks there.

I get your angle but he has been a net negative player for 3 years now although to your worthwhile point on 3 different bad teams. Maybe you are right and he has something left and...it's not like we are looking at some super awesome options here. Personally at this point I would rather have Anthony Morrow or Brandon Rush and I'm not really advocating we sign either guy.

CJ Williams is available as the Clippers waives him. He isn't exciting but he was a guy that helped the Clippers stay afloat. Marks makes a good case of why someone might claim him.

CJ Williams fits the critieria for the perfect waiver claim candidate. Williams is on a 1.4M non-guarant. contract that has $125K in protection if not waived by the 1st reg. season game. $1.6M in 2019/20 with $200K in protect. if not waived by the 1st reg. season game.

Like I've been saying, if Noah is that rejuvenated, NY would just keep him instead of paying him to play for us.

Nice move by the Bucks. I'm a little disappointed we didn't make a play. It looks like it wouldn't have cost us much.

Wouldn't matter, young guys don't want to play for Thibs and so unless we make a massive overpay Wolves have no chance. Thibs probably drooling for Noah and Deng (if he decides to play again) and perhaps a few other 30+ guys. Giant snoozefest.

Noah wants to stay in NY. If we end up getting Noah, its because he has no other NBA options.
