I agree. All this off season stuff has made me conclude that Jimmy has a chip on his shoulder and is competitive with everyone, whether they are his teammates or not. That's what makes him a great player. He wouldn't be the first great athlete to have mediocre interpersonal skills. I don't get the sense yet that KAT and Wiggins are too soft to handle Jimmy's approach, just get back on the court.
Maybe I misread the comment. I thought Jimmy was referring to his teammates as idiots. Did I get that wrong?

He was referring to the guy who made the comment as an idiot. Like I said, what I do think is clear from Jimmy's time here and his comments is that Jimmy is driven to work harder than anyone in his offseason training and feels anyone with a different approach doesn't care as much as him. I honestly think that's good for the team if they can clear the air.
I really hope thibs knows what's going on. If jimmy wants out, better to trade him before the season starts. If not, i hope the others on the team know its just jimmy being jimmy and its all in fun.
Maybe jimmy see wiggs/kat more as competition than mentees.
Is this for real? Were those really Jimmy Butler's comments? If so, please send that immature dink on his way.
Apparently it is. I just have no idea if hes just trolling or replied out of frustration.
What was he replying to?
The leadership and idiot comment is likely directed to his friends in the picture.
Jimmys reply to that guys remark in the second link is about kat and wiggs. I think the turmoil between kat and butler is real.
The post by Jimmy seems to clearly be a joke to me. One of the guys behind him in the picture is Chris Johnson an NBA trainer in Houston. Do you think Jimmy is seriously calling him an idiot? He is just joking around. It's not always my cup of tea but I have friends from college that joke around like this give each other all kinds of shit. Sometimes it's pretty hilarious. People get too worked up about some of these social media posts. Athletes are trolling each other all the time. There are legitimate concerns/issues surrounding Jimmy and this team but IMHO this isn't it.
Jimmy had a response to a guy calling him out for whining or whatever. It's best to just not respond but if we are gonna get all worked up about that type of stuff GS better send Durant packing I guess. Lol
Anywho what more interesting from this post/experience is on Chris Johnson's Instagram there is video of NBA guys working out and playing in games. This one has Taj Noah and Brewer among others. Taj is making some jokes. :) I'd guess Jimmy and Taj could have some insight/input on whether Noah and Brewer or others have any game.

OK. Then I don't think it's a big deal. The second remark saying "you show them" isn't too bad in my view. But yes, I think there's a real problem between Butler and KAT and Butler's responsible for that in my view. I was talking to my friend in Chicago the other day and he said what Butler's been saying isn't a surprise. He said its the same sort of stuff that alienated many of his teammates in Chicago when he tried to assert himself as a leader. My friend's comment was that Butler is prone to throw his teammates under the bus.
The more I learn about Butler the less i like him. The only thing he's ever done is underachieve in the playoffs along with Thibs. I hate where this franchise is at right now. It just isn't going to work.

Define work. Did you think this was our year to win a championship? I think being in the playoff mix is a good position in where we're at with KAT and Wiggins development. There will be another window of opporrunity in a few years.

When did Jimmy Butler or Thibs underachieve in the playoffs? There's pretty sound evidence that in the overal view of things they've overachieved in the post-season considering circumstances.
Where will Jimmy Butler start the 2019-20 season?Where will Jimmy Butler start the 2019-20 season?
TEAM % OF VOTES
New York Knicks 42.4
Los Angeles Lakers 21.2
Minnesota Timberwolves 12.1
LA Clippers 3.0
Brooklyn Nets 3.0
San Antonio Spurs 3.0
Philadelphia 76ers 3.0
Dallas Mavericks 3.0
Miami Heat 3.0
Toronto Raptors 3.0
Milwaukee Bucks 3.0
As with Irving, our panel sees New York as Butler's most likely destination, though it's difficult to see at this moment how the Knicks would create the cap space for both of them (not to mention the chance Durant chooses New York too). Perhaps most telling about these results though is the fact that 10 possible Butler destinations were listed, in addition to his current team.
Butler was also the only player in our Forecast for whom his current team didn't finish first or second in the voting, with only 12 percent of panelists seeing Minnesota as his long-term home. Expect the four-time All-Star to have a new team next summer. -- Reisinger

I'm so sick or all the apparent drama revolving around this team that I just don't really care where any of them are next year. If this team were really good the drama could be tolerated, they're not.
