There could be legit reasons why Knight would be traded 3x in 5 seasons...

He is no savior, but he shot .342 from 3 last year and is 6'3". Seems like he might fit Thibs' scheme better if the idea is Thibs wants a PG who can switch on D and hit the corner three.

I remember Tyus bullying Knight around last year so I am a little bit unsure about his ability to defend. He is a nice player I'm. It sure how much I value him but some team could get a deal on him depending on what they give up. What do the suns want? They have a lot of talent a better SF and I suppose another PG is ALWAYS on their list. Lol

Could that be a three-team deal with Sacramento where Rubio gets shipped off to? I think this team with Dragic at the helm could be an interesting look.

I don't think Dunn/Pekovic is enough to get Dragic. And they'd have to really like Dunn.

A Dunn/Winslow pairing would be fun to watch defensively. And comically bad to watch if either one had to shoot on the other end...

You're probably right, but the idea was very basic in presentation. In thinking about it more, perhaps a three team deal where Rudy Gay and Kris Dunn land in Miami, Ricky Rubio winds up in Sacramento, and Goran Dragic lands in Minnesota would work out better. I could see that having legs. We'll end up eating that Pekovic deal.

Pekovic's deal probably makes more sense to just keep and Collect the insurance checks and I believe in a few months they can get cap relief if he can't play anymore.

Now back to Dragic. Cam he would look really good on this team right now. I know you are more interested in being a contender now but like it's been mentioned already I think the price would be high and he is 30...so that makes me pretty hesitant because of my view on building team that is more patient. I thought the last couple games Dunn looked a bit more comfortable finding some spots to take shots. Its not a lot to go on but I'lll take any progress I can get. It's very low volume but he has hit a decent percentage of 3's and his per 36 numbers of 2.7 steals and over a half a block a game are pretty stellar. He isn't the guy either of us wanted but I think we should be more patient with him. It's early. Our guy Stauskus looks to have found his game I think I saw he is leading the league in eFG% or something crazy like that. I'll go another step farther and say what if Tyus ends up being the PG for this team? I know his defense is an issue but he has been pretty solid and he is 20. I know he looks better compared to the other PGs but I don't think giving him a. It of a shot at being a legit starter is crazy based on what we have seen from him this season espcially based on his age.

The reality is this team starts fine if anything they should come out in the 2nd half with a completely different lineup. Keep things we're there are to start the game it's other parts of the game Thibs may need to change things up and he clearly has been doing that.

Good question, Cam. A this point I'd still choose Wiggins because I haven't seen Simmons at the NBA level and, as you noted, he appears to have the same complacency or "soft" gene as Wiggins. However, what I like about Simmons over Wiggins is his ball-handling and rebounding. Simmons is a terrific ball-handler and that's so critical in the NBA for anyone not playing the center or perhaps PF position. He's also proven to be a terrific rebounder in college. He has the physical makings of a Greak Freak but without the Greak Freak's intensity and ferocity.

I like this idea a lot. I remember that I proposed it around all star break. Trade would have been straight swap Rubio for Dragic but many of us didn't want to make that trade.

I'm not sure if the price for Dragic would be that high. It seems that he is bouncing back from last season and plays quite nicely pick and roll with Whiteside but if Miami seems to be out of playoffs at all star break, I wouldn't be shocked if they would try to trade Dragic to get cap room for next summer. Typically Riley has tried to rebuild fast and not through draft, so they might try to get some free agent talent next sumer and need cap room for that.

Dragic has still three more seasons with average salary of 18 million left. I'm not sure if he will be worth of that contract at the time he will be 33 years old. So his contract might decrease his trade value and there might not be that many playoff contenders needing point guard at trade dead line. At least not many that are ready to absorb the contract that Dragic has left.
