The possessions were there for Rubio all season. He has just been really bad. He played well for 3 games in a row. But he has to play well above his career averages to impact wins, that seems pretty clear. I'm glad he's gotten more agressive but I doubt that Thibs has been telling him not to be all year.

Or OKC if Westbrook got hurt.
I guess it's just a matter of how much is too much. Certainly it's working today, but the fact LaVine and Wiggins have combined to average 5.5 assists per game this season tells us about all we need to know about how advanced they are as play makers. Hopefully they keep getting better and I guess that's part of the goal.
Q, how about the fact we only went to it 4 times in the half? I don't see anything wrong with that. You have participated in discussions where the common theme is that the ball is taken out of Ricky's hands constantly. I've seen that in some 4th quarters but never during an entire game.
First off, I wasn't even complaining or whining about "point Wiggins" in this game. I believe one of my first comments was complaining about Rubio's crappy first quarter!
And correct, earlier in the season, Thibs didn't completely take the ball out of Rubio's hands, but anyone who has watched the last few games can see he has been given a much larger percentage of opportunities to run pick and roll.
This isn't about today, or about me vs you. Multiple posters have relentlessly come with this rhetoric for over a month now. I'm not including you in that group.
This is about measuring the effectiveness of the tactic going forward so we really know how well it does or doesn't do.

Wiggins possession #5 - fumbles ball and we don't get a shot off.

The starters haven't been very good today, but it's the bench that's letting this game get away.
Am I the only one who thinks the Wolves are lacking energy in this game?

Clearly Carlisle thinks perimeter D is our weakness. Hmm... with Ricky's DRPM and Zachs athleticism shouldn't we be stopping their midget guards. Spanish Frodo is taking it too us.
