Tell me why free agents don't go sign in the weak east. Are they stupid?

Danny Ainge had the assets to get Butler or George and still have a ton left over and failed. I think he's a good GM, but he has played his hand poorly in a very winnable eastern conference.

I disagree 100%. He is actually the intelligent one. You bypass the arms race, trading potential big contracts for assets (even minimal) at the deadline and create your dynasty for 2020+. I have little doubt most of these buy in now teams (including us) kick themselves for buying a competitive nature that isn't truly feasible in the GSW and LeBron run league. We are stupid.

Ainge offerd three 1st round picks and two players for George on draft night, got turned down.

I don't know if anyone has already said it, but OKC was a RW0 twisted ankle from not making the playoffs and MIN not getting to use that 1st. And besides if MIN is THAT good, they should be better than RW/PG/SA and 12 guys from Macalester.
