We're in 3rd place in the West and on the rise as a franchise. Yet, no one seems interested in signing get here, choosing instead to sign with middle of the pack East teams like Indiana and Philly or a West team behind us in the standings like the Thunder. Is Thibs perceived that negatively among players around the League? What else could it be? Or maybe the Wolves haven't pursued any of these guys other than Brewer, but I find that hard to believe.
1. Nobody takes this team seriously, still.
2. Why would anyone come here knowing they won't play? They probably look at the guys who don't play here and think they can't be so bad that they're out of the rotation. Why wave towels in Minnesota when you can actually contribute on teams who can get farther than us?
3. The fact that Thibs hasn't provided opportunity to anyone outside of MGH to show anything in terms of what they can do has to be a deterrent to any younger player. Glen Taylor bought a G-League to waste everyone's time. For every time we were up 20 or even down 15+, maybe that's a good time to allow different lineups out there, give players more of a chance. Thibs isn't doing that and that scares players (and their agents) away. It goes back to what I've always is the most befuddling negative aspect of this team. We should be at the forefront of player development. There's no reason to believe Thibs' methods regarding MGH, Anthony Brown and to a lesser extent Patton are gonna work.
Really confused on your 3rd point. The young guys have had there opportunity. MGH has played in more than half of the games we have played this year and he started the year as our 14th man. Bazz was in the rotation and even started a couple of games and played his way out. Patton is still not cleared to play in an NBA game. And it is not like these top tier playoff teams are playing there 2 way contract guys. So Brown is doing just fine developing in the G League.
Also the wings we have "missed" out on during the buyout period. Belinelli, who is good but he is a SG and we can't play Tyus/teague, Bellnelli and Crawford all at once. And Brewer picked going to his college coach. Also he has a legit chance at playing quality minutes because the OKC bench literally has nobody good on it, unlike the wolves who have solid players. And he wouldn't get run in the playoffs because Butler is getting 40+ minutes. Also it is not like Brewer is good.

What young guys? We've only given MGH any sort of opportunity. All these really good teams somehow still have the wherewithal to scour the waiver wires and use their G-League rosters and two-way spots, always shuffling the deck and searching for more options. The Rockets found Gerald Green at his house waiting for a call. Where were the Wolves? Doc Rivers has had to search high and low for guys, and somehow he's in the playoff race not far from us! Where were the Wolves? Steph Curry gets hurt, they throw in Quinn Cook to start for him. They play Jordan Bell a lot. Boston uses plenty of young guys on their 2nd unit. The Pelicans dug up Emeka Okafor and somehow that has allowed Anthony Davis to go into super saiyan mode from PF. Meanwhile, we sign guys to two way deals and they probably don't have access to their own jerseys. The fact of the matter is if he didn't wanna play these guys, fine, but the fact that he's basically telling us "screw a plan B" is not good moving forward, because clearly he has no long term plans for using young players who could help us with our deficiencies. Not finding it is reasonable. Not trying to find it is insulting.

I mean we have the 5th best record in the NBA and 33% of our top 9 players are 23 and younger, hard to complain there. Celtics have the same 33%, Rockets have 1 player in there top 9 23 or younger, Raptors have 4, Warriors have 1 player, Spurs have 0 (1 in there top 11), Cavs have 0, Trail Blazers have 1, Thunder have 1
So what everyone would say the top 9 teams in the NBA only the Raptors play more young players in their top 9, and Celtics and Wolves are in 2nd. So I wouldn't say we don't have young players.

I do think Thibs could have done more to find that 4th wing, but the idea that he somehow isn't committed to young players is simply false based on last season where he tried as best he could to win games with a young core and they simply couldn't do it.

I think he isn't committing to the concept of continuing to search.

We tried to sign Brewer and he went to his college coach. Its not like he is not trying at all.
