That would be a good move for the Nets assuming the price isn't ridiculous. I've ripped on Jennings as much or more than anyone but I think the guy is a starting PG in the league and if you get him at the right price and ask him to do the right role he could be pretty useful. The Nets need talent and Jennings is still youngish turning 27 in September.
The Nets just let Jarrett Jack walk for nothing.
Is adding Jennings and ditching Jack really going to move the needle? If/when Lopez is out of there... that team might reach 70 losses.
AND THEY CAN'T KEEP THE PICK!!!
The Nets have to build something (from not a lot and yeah how long do they keep Lopez?) and Jack wasn't going to be a part of that so why not move on? To me as much as I love Jack he seems to be a completely complimentary player. If he is your PG he plays it uber safe. If he is a 6th man he can bring some firepower if the team doesn't suck.
Jennings who is flawed seems more of a dynamic player as a starting PG than Jack. It doesn't hurt that Jennings seemed to be a respected player by Skiles as a young guy (seemed to play better for him than the guy that came after) and also it seemed SVG got a lot out of him when he was healthy. Does Jennings move the needle? No but he could be a solid youngish guy to at least not have to for sure plan on replacing his starting position assuming he is back healthy and can stay that way. Plus he isn't sole rookie dude so he at least has a clue what he is doing. Does that make sense where I am coming from?

Sure.
I just don't think there's any real upside with Jennings either. I just wish the Wolves got 4 games vs. that wretched squad every season.

Yeah, they love their chuckers in Sactown.
It's no longer even news when Sacramento does stuff like this.
Worst ownership/decision-makers in the NBA right now. And I don't think it's close. Why did Joerger go there?
I agree!

I wonder if David Kahn is secretly running the Kings. :)

Not too much chatter on Horford yet? Only that he is meeting with Houston from one story. I can dream I guess.

Based on everything I'm reading, Thibs won't pursue Horford. So far, looks like his top candidates are Deng and Pau Gasol. If he doesn't get one of those two, then I don't know who he turns to.

I believe you're right, but like I said I can dream. I think Gasol on a 2 year deal would be a smart play.

Lip, where did you read Thibs likes Gasol?
How's Gasol's defense? I like everything else, especially his rebounding and passing. Man, at 35 he's still playing at a high level statistically. His shooting efficiency is a little down from his peak, but his numbers overall last year were NUTS.

I read yesterday where the Thunder were going to try to clear cap room to land Horford and Durant. That would give then far and away the best lineup in the league.

Jordan Clarkson back to the Lakers for 4 years 50 million. At this point that seems like a great deal for the Lakers.
