Part of it is doper obviously likes Bazz and he seems to be the forgotten guy and so he is sticking up for him because he isn't really talked about much. I'll respect if he has a bad vibe about Lavine which is what he has stated. Sometimes you just get a feeling sometimes it's right sometimes it's wrong. I don't think there is one thing he can pin point to get that feeling. I am ok with that.

Two things. Zach is a far superior outside shooter which we need next to Ricky and Wiggins. Bazz is averaging 0.3 assists per game which is terrible given his 20% usage when he's on the court. You just can't start with that kind of passing (or lack thereof) record. I'd rather not insert a black hole in the starting lineup when we can insert a guy who shoots better and moves the ball better. Bazz just plays too selfish on offense to start and Lavine frankly is a better offensive player right now.

Both Bazz and LaVine have IQ/awareness issues. One of the things in Zach's favor is that he's younger and less physically developed, thus his ceiling is theoretically higher.

Hey thanks for defending me. I hope I'm wrong. I think I've stated pretty clearly that these are assumptions and not anyway based on anything but circumstantial evidence.

I will add to this that Bazz does move without the ball pretty well.

I would list KAT, Wiggins, LaVine, and Rubio as keepers. The rest would be available for the right price, but I wouldn't break anything up just to make a change. I would want to be taking a shot at adding another keeper. I think Portis would be a future keeper. I would be willing to offer up Shabazz or Bjelica for him.

I would like another PG too, but feel we need to give Jones some burn to figure out what we have and Miller can play some decent minutes. I think the key for this team is to move Kevin Martin for a building block for this team.

Stay patient, throw four-years, $52-million at Nicolas Batum in free agency.

Alternative ball-handler (4.65 APG over last four years), good wing defender, good three-point shooter (career 36.5 3P%, 43.8% this year), solid rebounder at the small forward position (6.25 RPG over last four years). Also, he's a guy that doesn't miss games and he's somehow still just 27-years old by the summer. He fills a huge hole for us.

That would allow us to play big, versatile and athletic with a Rubio-Wiggins-Batum-Bjelica-Towns starting lineup moving forward.

To be fair, Batum got a 4 yr/ $46M contract BEFORE salaries went apeshit crazy. If he keeps up his mini-resurgence in Charlotte... he's looking at significantly more than $52M...

Yeah, I'm not willing to look at any trades yet either, only Martin is worth shopping around. Seems like we did too much of that last year. I'm ok with a hold strategy this season.

I think Martin's age / defense limitations hold down his value, best scenario is waiting closer to playoff time when team has more of a need or perceived need of shooting.
