This argument is pathetic. Technically there was no torn achilles tendon, Jason's "internet proof" says nothing of a torn tendon. So WTF is he arguing?!?

However, there was work done on the bone near the tendon. And some cleanup of the tendon may have been performed as well. So we are kind of in uncharted waters as far as recovery goes. Yes, Pek may still come along on the recovery path. He said weeks ago there was still some pain but it was managable. The fact the pain has increased to the point he cannot play is NOT encouraging.

I don't know what's going on in this thread.

But I'm very angry about it anyway.

I am arguing that this injury no joke. And maybe if he needs a whole season, a season that was lost basically before it started, to recover, then maybe all of us who haven't torn anything more important than a piece of paper ought to just leave him alone.

And another question that may or may not ever be answered: Did this happen because he rushed himself back from the ankle injury?

We all have this romantic notion of how our players are pussies and the Spurs are warriors (no pun intended). Well, I watched them in the 80's, and they were TANKING for Robinson (and to a certain extent Sean Elliot), and Robinson sat out to TANK for Duncan back in '97, and Duncan could have played that one year they lost to Anfernee-Hardaway-led(?) Suns in the first round rather than sitting out to make sure he didn't fuckup his Free Agency.

The team is bad because of year after decade after century of poor draft picks, not because Pekovic hurt his achillies.

I'll add to your anger with a dreaded emoticon, or what ever it is called...

OK, if you want this end, I need two things.

I need to stop being told I'm wrong on factual matters, and I need people to stop referring to 6'10,280 lb athletes as pussies.

Give him a chance to rehab it and see how he is in camp in Sept.

So does everybody feel the same about Loadholt? He's the same age and about 80 pounds heavier.

Give him a chance to rehab it? What's he been doing for the last 10 months?

Recovering. You have the whole internet at your disposal. Google "Torn Achillies" is you think it's the same as a hangnail.

I'm talking about Pek, not sure who you're referring to.

Pekovic had Achillies Tendon surgury. Seriously? How hard is this? Use your internet to research before you come on hear and rip people, whether they be another athlete or one of the posters.

Counting to 10......................He did not have a torn achillies. Who did I rip? I can't believe you act this incredulous. Do you need to fight that bad?

Cool... He did have surgery on his Achilles tendon. Come on now. http://www.nba.com/2015/news/04/08/oft-injured-pekovic-has-surgery-on-right-achilles.ap/

All I ever heard was they went in there to take pressure off the tendon resulting from a bone spur. I never heard it was torn. If i'm wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. Still don't see why Jason went into such an attack mode.

You posted on a message board that I was wrong when I wasn't. And it's not that I was in the operating room, I found out using the internet. And all I asked was how hard is this, and I stand by the question.

You still haven't proved your point. Was the tendon severed?

I'm sorry, so it has to be completely severed to satisfy you? So you got a perfect school/work/church attendance record? Is that why you are holding him to such a high standard? And what's your perfect result? The Wolves are a .500 team, get swept by GS or SAS and lose their first round pick to BOS? Really?
And it's not my point to prove. It is such a debilitating injury, THE ANCIENT GREEKS made up a story about why. Seriously, I didn't even need Google for that one, I just paid attention in history class.

This is pointless. Have a nice life.

Then stay out of it. I didn't start the thread, and I didn't badmouth Pek.
