Wolves at Blazers GDT
Re: Wolves at Blazers GDT
Design a play to get lavine a 3 here.
Re: Wolves at Blazers GDT
Why on earth did Sam have Wiggins rather than Zach, Towns or Belly spotting up for the corner three???!!!!
Re: Wolves at Blazers GDT
Actually a good play set there but why on earth was it run for Wiggins by far the worst 3pt shooter, who is super cold tonight

The one good set all year and we run it fit wiggins. I am sick of this team
Re: Wolves at Blazers GDT
I know he might be cold but why is rudez on this team if we don't use his one skill when it matters
Re: Wolves at Blazers GDT
Rubio just went to the bench to talk to sidney lowe instead of sam who is right besides lowe. It might mean nothing or it just show how much respect or trust the players have for sam.
Re: Wolves at Blazers GDT
If lavine has not fouled out, I would just have him catch the ball and shoot a 30 footer. He is our only volume 3 pt threat and he doesn't shoot enough!
Re: Wolves at Blazers GDT
We know sam wont be fired even though he deserved it. But I want sam fired as soon as the regular season end!

It's amazing how easily Portland retools every few years to put together a competitive squad, yet we labor for a decade and have zero playoff appearances to show for it.
First Roy, then Aldridge, and now Lillard. None of those three are or were super-duper-stars (although Roy was close for a season or two), but credit the front office with surrounding them with solid supporting talent and decent coaching.
Look at the current Portland roster. Pretty much all of their major pieces have 4 or fewer years of NBA experience, similar to us, yet they beat us every. single. time.
We can argue that our roster has more upside to it and that might very well be true. But I've heard that a lot in the past decade and it never seems to come to fruition.
Sigh.
