I think dieng has good value around the league. He is look at as a solid rotation guy, maybe not a starter but a guy that can fill if needed and play easily with different players and style.

Pf and backup pg is our biggest need right now. Im open to shopping dieng and see what we can get from him since he has good value but if we keep him then im okay with it. He can play pf alongside pek and towns(im assuming he is the pick) and also step in at the center if needed.

Ideally, I would trade payne, AB and bjelica and just go with towns/kg/pek/dieng as our front court but that is not going to happen. We just gave away a first for payne a few months ago and no one will trade something of that value to us for payne. AB has a big money contract and bjelica is looking to get paid 5m a year, its not going to be easy to trade them unless we package them with a dieng, martin, our 2nds or buzz.

Mosgov could be a guy to look towards if you want to be positive about both Dieng's value going forward and possible improvement on the court. I bet Dieng has a lot of value right now as he has some actual production and is still young enough some teams would see potential there.

Q, bogut was non existent in the finals. Yes Duncan played a lot of time in the post but I wouldn't call him a true 5.

This is my only rationale for taking Russell. Having another good shooting guard instead of a center is more valuable.

Ouch. How quickly Bogut has fallen.

He made an All Defensive team this season and was considered critical for the Warrior's championship hopes as recently as two weeks ago. Now, he's in the mix with Joel Anthony.

That's because they didn't need him. However, how soon we forget the teams they had to fight through to get to that point: New Orleans, Memphis, and Houston. Those teams don't exactly sport lilliputian frontcourts (neither does Cleveland, but offensively Gasol and Randolph are far more dangerous than Mozgov and Thompson).

They may have never gotten to the Finals to begin with without Bogut - that's my point.

On Duncan, he plays the 5....Like 100% of the time. How is he not a true 5? It's been years since he's played the 4.

Abe, Q. I understand it's important to have good bigs throughout the playoffs. And I'll give you Duncan.

It feels like we have too much emphasis on bigs with this roster plus Towns. And we really have nobody tradeable.

Don't disagree that we have what appears to be too many bigs, but the quality and reliability is on such shaky ground. Our two best bigs are KG and Pek. One qualifies for social security and the other is practically in a wheelchair. Then you have Dieng, who is a decent backup, but that's about it. After that, the cupboard is empty. It's just such an odd mix of old, injured, and incapable assets.

Exactly, we have such an odd collection of cripples, part timers, and 1st round picks with no real starters.
