Mmmm, seems to me Abe is the one using his brain here. Why would we want to hire a coach without certainty about a POBO first? Unless a total locker room rebellion is underway, I think this is the sound approach. The question is whether Taylor even recognizes this. I certainly agree that the POBO issue should be resolved well before the season ends, but I'm not sure he feels the same way.

I don't doubt that you think that, but luckily we don't have you in charge. What makes you think the POBO is more important, particularly on a team that supposedly has the main pieces in place already. I want a top flight coach, and I have a few in mind. I really don't have any top POBO's in mind. Could you name a few of these "great hires" that would be worth waiting for? Would you keep the SA POBO or the coach if you had to choose? Wouldn't it be nice to have the POBO job open in the case of a JVG only taking the coaching job if he got both.

Abe, it is easy to generalize reasons why some coaches may not come here, but we don't know if any of that is true. Could you post a link to some of those "good" coaches you are speaking of. I myself would prefer to takeover for the remaining throw away season, and then hit the ground running next season.

That's the part that gets me. I always have a hard time reconciling Cool's age with his junior high chest-thumping. It's kinda weird.
