They have a plan. It is just so genius that nobody understands it.
Go read Zgoda's article. It is clear there was a Plan A. There are reasons Plan A was not looking so hot in action. So now there is a Plan B.
I re-watched the Bucks game last night and I there was more to like than I had remembered watching it live. I am anxious to see our development and team chemistry grow operating under Plan B.

Yeah, Plan A was for the young guys (Towns, Wiggins and Zach) to step up and show that they were ready to be good NBA players, but after a promising first two days of practice, Zach showed that he is still the talented work-in-process that many of us know that he is. So, Sam turned to Plan B which is to start the guys he most trusts to win ballgames and to send a strong message to a few guys who aren't getting it yet. As others have suggested, there is very likely a Plan C to follow in a couple months, in which
Zach shows that he is ready for significant minutes at the 2 allowing Milt to deal Martin for a draft pick or another need.
I get they have plan. I think most of us will calm down if Prince starts and plays 6-10 minutes half. I am guessing he and KG will sub out at the same time. I wonder who will come in for him. I think one thing is for sure. Rubio needs to play big minutes. We will need him on the floor 36+ minutes a night to be effective at all. Having Rubio back changes everything and makes me wonder if Plan A could have worked. It was never given a real chance.

Plan A which I assume we all mean Zach starting at SG is still an option and it's basically up to Zach to play well and make that happen. This plan B of Prince is likely a temporary plan. None of us is thrilled with him playing PG off the bench but we should remember there are teams that basically go with a combo guard off the bench as their Backup PG or at least part of their rotation. Of course those guys have a lot more experience than Zach but those guys aren't always that great at running an offense. In addition if Zach is running with some good talent like Martin and a good passer like Bjelica it might work well enough to get him going. Zach as the future SG is plan A going forward for this franchise I feel pretty strongly about that. It's possible he changes the mind of the franchise thinking that this year with not progressing but I don't anticipate he sucks that badly.

Agreed, its not much of a question for me.
I think we'll see a lot of Bazz and Wiggins together -- Prince will not be on the floor very long. A question is who comes in for Prince? Will it always be Bazz? Will it always be KMart? Or will it vary depending on matchups?
What pisses me off is that even the so called "worst team in the league" in philly has a plan/direction. That plan is " we will suck for the foreseeable future until we have enough talent to compete in the playoffs". We as Timberwolves fans aren't afforded that. We are always left questioning and trying to justify our organizations moves. The saddest reality is a big part of our fan base willingly participates in justifying these moves by our front office and convinces themselves that its the right move... it hasn't been the right move in over ten years, for any of our major sports teams... I'm so sick of this middling bullshit. Either play to win the big one or shit the bed by trying to develop your young talent where you end up picking in the middle of the draft ( if your young guys pan out) or you pick in the top 5 until the former works...

End of rant
Well glad you got that out. It's a perfectly reasonable rant.
And where has that gotten the Sixers? Ok I know that was an easy target but still it's worth noting. Of course as a Wolves fan it's not much better however...
I was listening to the latest Podcast with Jon K. and Souhan and Jon talked about how he does believe in having the vets there. He seemed to have a lot more insight into what went down on the team previously with Love than I have heard and Jon is pretty legit. He said there wasn't vet guys to teach Love Rubio etc how to play or conduct themselves or flat out put them in their place. He said a PR guy (who now works for Charolette) was basically about the only person that he ever saw put Love in his place. Instead of vet guys he said you had guys like Beasley hanging around the team. His point was just getting as many young guys as possible and seeing what happens doesn't really seem to work. I've heard people say that OKC didn't have vets but that's not really true if you look back at those teams. At the very least they had a guy that's still an important part of that team Nick Collison who had been in the league a while and was a solid player who was around for the whole thing. Every year that team had a few solid vets who knew how to play that probably helped some.
What the Sixers are doing makes sense to a certain point and they have absolutely followed their plan and you have to give them credit. They could have gone the route the Bucks did for years adding enough to be mediocre in the east but the Sixers went all out bust or boom. let's keep in mind though the Wolves are a little over a year away from a total change in plans from building a NOW contender to a re-re-rebuild. That's a major change in direction and it's going to come with some oddities like Pek and his contract looming.
