How about Love & Barea for Parsons, Jones and that Pelicans pick?

If I had to choose, I'd take Lin over that 2015 pick, but I'd push for both if I were Flip. I see Lin as a perfect fit for us as a backup PG who could also play the SG spot along side Ricky in some instances. High basketball IQ is critical to Flip's offense and Lin certainly has that.

Lin has a horrible contract though, especially if he'd be backing up Rubio, and I believe that draft pick is only top 5 protected.

- June 23, 2011: The Minnesota Timberwolves traded Chandler Parsons to the Houston Rockets for cash.

- June 26, 2012: The Minnesota Timberwolves traded a 2012 1st round draft pick (Terrence Jones was later selected) to the Houston Rockets for Chase Budinger and Lior Eliyahu.

Gotta love that. Irony at it's finest.

It's not a terrible contract at this point. I believe it's only one more season at a little over $8 million. The $8 million amount is nuts, but it's not a concern since it expires after this season.

Damn Chandler and his character issues...

Yea because douches are never in it for the money.

Lip, according to HoopsHype, Lin is owed $14.9M this coming season. I would be glad to take that amount on if Houston takes back Budingers longer deal.

Parsons (he will be resigned for about $10M per if I had to guess) / Jones / Lin (expiring) / Pelicans pick
for
Love / Budinger / LRMAM (expiring)

Seems like a reasonable deal for both sides.

I think the Houston deal can balance out our roster while giving us room to grow moving forward + future prospects.

Not 100% sure, but I think I read somewhere where Lin only counts against the cap for 8/9 Mil. because its the average salary of the life of the contract or something funky like that. Anyone got any confirmation or correction on that?
