We had tough time making shots tonight. A quick back-to-back play a part?
It was nice to Tyus and Payne make some strides in their game. We'll see what happens in game 3.

Monster, weren't you one of the guys who had to be talked off the ledge last night in regard to Jones?
No. I said he looked bad in that game. I never said he was a bust or whatever.

I'm not sure that I really took anything away from the game other than our legs looked tired and Brady Heslip followed the fine Timberwolves tradition of being a great 3-point specialist for anyone BUT the Timberwolves.
(I have to admit, Payne is making a bit of an impression on me on just how hard he goes, which is admirable....He has to channel his inner-Faried and just be an all-out hustle/nuisance kind of player).

Considering we played a second game in less than 24 hours, it wasn't so bad. Tyus and Payne had good games. Towns got rebounds, blocks and cut his fouls way down. Zach followed a brilliant game with a not so brilliant game but maybe his finger was bothering him and he got to the line and drained all but one free throw.

Portis looked very good out there. Bulls really got a steal at 22. I was hoping we could have traded up for him and grabbed him when he slid, but alas we were two spots short.

Yeah it reminds me of 2009 when the Bulls got Taj and then 2 spots later we got Ellington. I liked both guys at the time though. I for sure liked Portis more than Tyus in that draft even though I did like Tyus.

For the life of me I didn't understand why he wasn't a top 15 pick. I don't know how a guy like Lyles gets picked ahead of him. Now Portis could bust and Lyles could be a star, I just don't understand what I'm missing.
Also how did Towns look? I like he got more rebounds in this one. I don't like the offensive numbers too much, but numbers can be deceiving.

I would have given up Bjelica to get Portis. I think he and Towns would have been great together. Good to see him doing well, but bad to see it against us.

Just be thankful he went to the East!

I wonder if the Bulls would take Jones and Bjelica for him now?
