I agree, Abe. Let's get a coach for both the short and long term. Whatever the players get from Sam this season - toughness, defensive intensity - will be nice foundations, but it's time to get the pieces in place by the start of next season. Continuity is important and the time isn't far off when our core players will be at the end of their rookie contracts. We have to be firing on nearly all cylinders by then or this whole thing could fall apart.

I am not disagreeing with your desire I want it too I just don't know if there will be a guy out there we can get that realistically will get the job done. How many coaches in this league are PROVEN to do both develop young star players AND win at the highest level?

I think Steph Curry has had something like 4 coaches since his rookie year with Golden State, so yeah, player continuity is a lot more important than coaching continuity.

This goes back to the point Abe has made previously. The REAL question is who will our next POBO be? That will largely determine Mitchell's fate and who our next coach will be if not him.
