The only downside is that the Morris twins will be on their last year, I think? Would rather get a young player or two that is locked into 3-4 years here before we have to shell out a larger contract.

I'd want Dragic and Gerald Green to be included in any trade with Phoenix for Love.
Kevin Love, their choice of Kevin Martin or Chase Budinger, 40th and 53rd picks for Dragic, Green, Markieff Morris, 14th pick and return of 1st we owe them.

Would that be the ultimate irony that we traded KG for Green, only to trade for him again for Love?

In my opinion, our pick for next year has to be coming back in any trade where Love goes to Phoenix. I know it's top 12 protected (or something close), but you never know what happens in the next season.
Add that pick into that trade and I'd definitely pull the trigger.
If we trade Love I like our chances of having a top 12 pick more than the Lakers having a top 5 pick with Kobe coming back. If we trade for the Lakers pick we'll likely have 2 lottery picks next year

I want both in the trade

Anyone see the money Gilbert threw at Coach Cal, reportedly? Cleveland might be making moves from here on out to entice LeBron back to the Cavs. Again, I still don't think that No. 1 pick is off the table.
1, Waiters and Thompson. I'm for that.

If the Cavs have offered that, wouldn't the wolves have taken it by now?

Who said they've offered it yet?

my ultimate point being, I don't think teams are offering what the Wolves were originally hoping for. If that deal or Barnes/thompson/lee 1st, or the Bulls deal were on the table right now, then the Wolves would of delt Love by now.
I'm thinking GM's are sitting back thinking "why give up to much too a franchise that has a history of making bad decisions". Wolves seem more desperate to get rid of Love as other teams are in trying to acquire him
