Wow - Not good. If AB looks bad here and brings it to camp I would consider cutting him rather then having him on the roster another year. Better to have a hungry journey man on the team pushing the young guys then someone that has no future or fight to use his talent.

LOL...I might be one of the only guys here who is pumped for the Pan Ams...really curious to see what AB can bring. I certainly agree that AB hasn't shown very much in his first 2 years, but I disagree with those who don't see any potential. He was spectacular in college, and although almost anyone can look good in a highlight reel, his highlights from last year were especially explosive. So much potential, but his tendency to disappear or look lackadaisical on the court holds him back.

That said, the Wolves' consistent silence about AB tells us that he has to be on his way out. Further, I gave him a pass on missing SL because of his commitment to the Canadian team, but it turns out he could have done both...Sim Bhullar and his 360 pounds is doing both. More evidence that both he and the Wolves have moved on. I guess I have to also...reluctantly!

Heslip did both also kinda. Lol after listening to Flip talk about SL as a chance to let guys get out and play...I wonder how much to read into Bennett not being at SL. I certainly don't have a problem with him not being there. It's hard not to think that the Wolves may move on though. Flip hasn't done anything but mention his name as another number 1 overall pick in passing after the draft. He certainly doesn't seem to be in the team's plans.

I am not as excited about the Pan Am games as you LST but I am actually interested in seeing what Bennett can bring. He has the Pan Am games and then FIBA afterwards to show something...or not. Last Summer JJ had a nice showing in FIBA and that still wasn't good enough to get him moved in a trade although the buyout worked out fine. Personally I think it might actually be better for Bennett and his career of he got cut and was able to sign a cheap multi year deal with another team that could bring him along with low expectations and also give him some stability. A lot of us have been hard on the guy but he has had a tough go of it being #1, injuries, being traded, whispers of being traded again etc. Heck he just needs to go somewhere anywhere that he can get some minutes even if that was a team that would send him down to the d-league.

Oh, no you don't monster...you're not burying the Pan Am games in this thread. This deserves it's own thread! I'll get right on it.
