Well, you know how opTIMistic I always am. And since Rubio brought me back here, this feels like the start of a "averaging 50+ wins per season" run, just like Flip and company did starting in 1999. But with this being a 72-game season, a 50-win season translates into a 44-win season. Put me down for 44.

Being a Wolves fan and a Vikings fan, my first take was 36 wins. Then I went back and asked myself why, but I started throwing feces at myself for being a chucklehead. So I will go with 36. I truly think that Edwards is going to be a star. I was never a fan of any of our other picks, including KAT. But there is something about this new kid...he just feels like he is going to be something, like when KG was on the court for the first season. You just KNEW the kid was going to be something. I hope Edwards does the same (not the raw emotion part, because face it, NOBODY has that to KG's level).

I am probably wrong.

Heh, good one. Hopefully said fan is wearing a Packers jersey.

As a former winner, one of the great perks is that no rules apply to you anymore!

Abe - the talk of "championships" should never be uttered by anybody associated with the Wolves. "Compete", "Challenge", "Respectability." Those work.

What I've also seen uttered from longtime fans/those associated with the Wolves:

"OMG, I'VE FRITTERED BY LIFE AWAY ON THIS TEAM!! WHAT WAS I THINKING!"

"I went to therapy because of the Wolves. After our 4th session, my therapist quit her practice and joined a convent."

"I can't WAIT for Summer League to start!"

"Mmmmm...what to watch...Wolves/Hoarders/Wolves/Hoarders/Wolves/Hoarders....eh, I guess I'll watch the Wolves."

"KAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNN!!!!"

I'm with WildWolf, 30 wins. That's being generous!
I look at every team in the West and can't make an argument for being better than any of them without wearing rose colored glasses.

Go check out the Kings, Spurs, Thunder, and Grizzlies rosters and tell me how they're better than the Wolves. There's no logical way. I'm comfortable throwing in the Pelicans into that group as well.

Rosters aside, Minnesota probably has the worst head coach in the league, but high-level talent should offset that a bit.

We are due.

I foresee the upward trajectory of this team coinciding with the demise of Glen
