Payne is good as gone.

This is a pretty good depth pick up. Solid rebounder and defender. He'll replace Bjelica as the 4th big. Wonder if we'll see Bjelica play some 3? Bench is much improved this year. Love it.

I am hoping Bjelica is greatly improved and beats out Dieng. Wishful thinking but it would be great to see it all click for him this year.

I don't know Brightside. I agree that Belly and Hill will be fighting for that 4th big spot, but I kind of expect Belly to come out on top. It's nice to have depth!

Me too. We need shooters on that 2nd unit and he along with Rush are the only two guys that can stretch the floor. Hill seems more like insurance in case Towns, Dieng, or Aldrich get hurt.

I don't like the idea of 2 years for a 5th big. Even if it is cheap.

It's a good deal for the Wolves, even if next year's cap ONLY comes in at $102m. It's basically the same money Darko got, and that was what, 6 years ago?

This signing has to be a precursor to a trade. It just doesn't make sense to sign Aldrich and Hill to our already crowded front court.

KAT - Dieng - KG - Aldrich - Belly - Hill - Pek - Payne

Barr KAT and Dieng that's a glut of mediocre and injury prone big men, meanwhile leaving us dangerously thin at the wing positions.

Hell, I think you can move that contract with minimal effort if there is some bizarre circumstance that we need a roster spot or a little more cap room.

Is it good money for the 3rd big in the rotation? Or, even a part-time starter?

It's conceivable that Hill gets 20 - 25 mpg. Personally, unless there's some underlying issues with the guy that end up surfacing... I think it's one of the better (financially) signings of the offseason.
