But he still seems like a good guy who is liked by his teammates and coaches. So I'm not worried.
Thanks for the info from both LST and Lip.
Lip I think your idea of Wiggins asking for something separate from everyone else for space and quite makes some sense. As someone with ADHD and working with college students with various disabilities I can actually see some legit functional reason for that. I had never thought about how the constant travel would affect me getting my sleep. Because I find it difficult to turn my brain off I can't have other people doing anything around me if I want to fall asleep. Wiggins is clearly an introvert and obviously quirky and particular so maybe some level of OCD? So yeah I could see him having some reasons beyond being a spoiled guy or being a jerk. Who knows. I tend to think Thibs wouldn't be too into having this request for separation either but maybe not.

Quirky is a good word for Wiggins based on what my friend heard from Wiggins' former chef. Introvert is another good word for him. He said that he loves his teammates at his recent press conference announcing the extension. I have no doubt he was sincere. So I don't think he's an arrogant SOB as some might infer from his request. He's always smiling and talking with teammates during games. I just want him to expand his game and blossom into a star. I still think it's possible.

I also got some insight into Glen's relationship with Thibs. While he's not pleased with the results last year (after all, he's a fan as well as an owner), he's not displeased with his choice of Thibs as coach. What he is unhappy about though is Thibs' sideline demeanor, and especially the raw language and barrage of F bombs. Glen is a rather conservative guy and sits right behind Thibs (Lip is pretty close too), and finds him embarrassing much of the time. I learned yesterday that he spoke sharply to him about this over the summer, and told him he needed to act more respectably during games. Let's see if it has an effect...I think it will. Some might say Thibs has his contract, so Glen has no leverage. But Thibs has to have his next contract in mind, so he likely will do what Glen asks. I don't know if this will help the team (although guys like KAT seemed to be bothered at times), but it will definitely improve my enjoyment level when I'm at games!
Oh no! I see it coming, you're setting up the argument that an improved start is because Tibs was reprimanded to change his coaching style! Brilliant move!

By the way, his 3-point shot looked terrific last night in the scrimmage. His form is perfect and the shot is so effortless for him. I can see him becoming a 38-40% three-point shooter.

Nah, I actually find Thibs' sideline style more annoying (and offensive to some fans, not me) to fans than instrumental in the Wolves' lack of success last year. In other words, I don't expect any improvement in his behavior to result in a significant increase in wins, but it will add to the enjoyment of many of us season ticket holders.
Changes in Thibs' game management though could significantly help this team. I was surprised that a veteran coach like him would find himself without any remaining timeouts at the end of close games...that hurt us a number of times, and seemed like something a rookie coach would do rather than an experienced one. Also, of course, I think his propensity to burn out his starters is the behavior that most needs to change. There was more than enough statistical evidence last year to support the fallacy of his poor rotation decisions, and I hope he has learned this and trusts his bench more this year. Adding guys like Gorgui and Crawford to the second team has to give him more confidence in resting his starters.
