Lillard will look to take over in the 2nd half. I wonder if Thibs will start Covington on anonymous white guy what's-his-face again and then rotate him to the hot hand eventually. He and Wig took turns with McCollum in the first half.

Good take.Wig is simply better suited to take on 2's than 3's on defense. Its just a better match up for him on both ends.

Its also crazy to me that some people think that lavine is better than covington.
I actually thought KAT made some horrible decisions a couple of times and Nurkic burned him. But I thought Teague (of all people) and Covington played a great half of defense.
Pnr coverage is still rough, but he isn't getting bullied in the paint like he used to against strong bigs.

KAT's pretty good one on one, as we saw against AD the other night and even tonight when McCollum had him isolated on the perimeter and KAT stymied him. But put him in PnR and it's an adventure...wheeeee!

Hey hey hey we got a thread for this!
Re: Incredible Purple Rain (wolves vs Trail Blazers)
We should watch out for lillard in the 2nd half. Blazers are a playoff team while we are outside looking in. We've seen this many times over the years. We had a good and feel good first half. Then the opposing team's all star took over in the 2nd half and its over for us.
We need to match their intensity. Dont go easy on lillard. Towns needs to play like an all star and 1 of wigs, rose or teague needs to have a good half while the rest of the role players play their roles.

We don't need Wiggins taking this many shots. Yuckie.
