Wiggins has been generally good this year (not max good no doubt). Okogie works his ass off but let's not act like he is deserves to start. Wiggins in all his faults is still the better player

Okogie, I like what I have seen. But at the moment Wiggins is still the better player. I am not saying Wiggins deserves all the playing time and Okogie should be exciled on the bench but Wiggins currently is the better player. Wiggins is not a max guy, hard for anyone to argue that.
We don't need to rush Okgoie into something he is not right now. Wiggins still has the potential to carry a team on a given night and for stretches of games. Okogie right now is a high energy role player, who could become more. Lets Okogie still try and carve out a role on this team and lets not rush him into something he is not ready for.

I mean I probably would also. But why rush Okogie into something he is not yet. Currently Wiggins is still the better player. Right now he is a quality high energy role player, nothing more. Lets have him excel at that in his rookie year.
The simple fact we post how this is just one of those games almost every other night shows you how low our expectations are of this damn group. Effort should be expected not hoped for.
Okogie currently has 1 lineup that qualifies on plus/minus. That lineup has played 120 minutes together, it is in the bottom 5% of any lineup in the NBA. We are getting outscored by 17pts per 100 possession.
I love Okogie and think he is a stud, and was a great pick at 20, but lets cool the jets on him. We all want it so bad we are not seeing the flaws in his game.
