They have no answer for Aldridge, and the problem for them is KAT is a much tougher question

This is beautiful to watch. There is so much more to basketball than outside shooting. Thankfully

Best player on the floor tonight. And Aldridge has no one that can handle him. The Warriors are going to have a lot of great nights this year, but it's not the slam dunk a lot of folks think it is.

The Warriors need some guys to step into roles that they were not asked to do before. The top players are the ones but they lost some nice bench players like Speights Barbosa Rush and even Ezeli. They did get David West and if Varejo can stay healthy...I wouldn't bet on that and he may only have so much left anyway. Maybe they can get something out of Javele McGee. They added some nice young talent in the draft but they lost some depth that was legit last year and Ian Clark is a guy I like and Zaza is nice but the depth right now isn't what it was last year. We will see.

And Ben Simmons just finished this game off. Good gravy. The Spurs have a decent chunk of younger guys on that roster and they have a track record of getting something out of a majority of those players.

Defense always takes the longest to mesh and the Warriors just looked lost on that end tonight. Bad/late rotations, nobody boxing out, guys getting to the rim easily. It's one game.

I love that the Warriors lost at home tonight. As a die-hard Wolves fan I'll obviously be focused on pulling for our home team. But my second focus will be rooting against Kevin Durant and the Warriors.
The Spurs organization is simply amazing. They always seem to add the right piece or two at the right time to stay at or near the top. Reforming their core around KL and Aldridge and then adding Simmons. What a great organization. And what a great coach who plugs players into a system and philosophy that wins basketball games.
The Cavs look like they've got it together. They had some growing pains early last season as they tried to blend together. Kevin Love, in particular, struggled last season to fit in. But Love now looks happy and confident and the chemistry seems strong. I don't see anyone in the East coming close to challenging the Cavs for the top spot in that conference.

Re: 2016-2017 around the league thread
The Warriors went from having some inside presence to having none. The Spurs have talent inside and killed them on the boards. Most teams arent going to be able to execute like that and the Spurs have Kawaii who might be the 2nd best player in the league. But as usual the Spurs are giving the formula for success. My biggest question for the Warriors was how do you play without any size. With Bogut they could at least fake a traditional line up and the guy was good. Now you're basically conceding the rebound battle and saying you are just going to make every shot. It's still going to work the majority of the time for them but the teams who will challenge are the ones with length.

29 points. At home.
San Antonio looked great. Again. No surprises there. The one mild surprise is that they did it without much of any contribution from its one "big" free agent pickup, Pau Gasol.
Another 65 wins in store? That backcourt looks so flimsy on paper... but they keep getting it done. Wow.
