KAT is becoming un-guardable. He has shot the ball less than 50% from the field only twice since January 30th. That's nuts considering the fact he's taking 3's, mid-range jumpers, one-legged turnarounds.

Did we almost trade Ricky for Derrick Rose?
And nice to see Wiggins get into the act a bit more in the 2nd half. He still looked lethargic, even for him, but maybe he found a little spark in the end. And agreed with the comment above, Wall got touched and he got 2 shots at the line, Karl got hammered and no whistle. But who cares, we owned them, including that bizznatch Brandon Jennings!
We didn't make that trade, but the New York Post certainly tried to make that trade!

That Nowitzki one legged shot that KAT has down is nuts. He hardly ever misses it. Wig will be fine guys, it's only been a short stretch of sub standard play. He will find himself soon, he always does.

3 headed monster tonight...
1.
Rubio: 18.0 ppg / 14.7 ast / 5.0 reb / 43.2%
3 All NBA PGs: 20.0 ppg / 7.3 ast / 3.7 reb / 36.5%
Wolves = 3 - 0 vs. Chris Paul, Steph Curry and John Wall.
2.
Towns.
39 points on 17 - 26 fg.
3. Belly.
Another double-double. Don't think I don't realize that his string of solid play coincides with me "officially" writing him off.
[Note: Back to Rubio... a startling turnaround. But let's not completely forget the beginning of the season. Some on Thibs? Sure... But that doesn't absolve Rubio from blame. It was the worst 1st half of his career. Check out this stat...
Rubio scored 11+ points in 3 of his first 31 games.
He's scored 11+ points in 19 of his past 29 games.
Miss or make... the PG must be a threat to SHOOT. Keep it going. It's fun to watch.]

Who invited Debbie Downer?
One thing worth mentioning (maybe)...
The Wizards were playing the getaway game of an incredibly successful road trip where they went 4 - 1 and it was 5 games in 7 days. The Wolves also caught the Warriors during their worst trip of the season. Caught the Clippers on a tough week. And also got the Spurs during an unfavorable schedule.
BUT... BUT... it's a very good sign that the Wolves are taking advantage of those things unlike past teams. It's still a very good sign of progress. Just slightly tempered... because that's what I do.

Thank you Debbie. The Wolves also had/have an incredibly difficult schedule so the same argument could be made on the other side

No. Not during that stretch against those teams... no. The Wolves had one tough back-to-back since 2/25 and that was in Milwaukee. They lost.
Although every team hits a tough stretch or two or even three during the season... the Wolves caught some teams at good times recently.

A couple other thoughts on this game....
- Brandon Rush was huge for us. His early 3's helped get us out to that fast start. Man, is it valuable to have a guy that can space the floor out there. Stating the obvious I know, but it really makes a difference having a reliable long range shooter that knows how to get himself open.
- Just as important was Rush's defense. He and Wiggins did a great job containing Porter and Beal. Those two dudes are good, yet they were pretty quiet last night. Rush is waaaaay better than LaVine at getting over screens and not biting on fakes. He's no Andre Roberson defensively, but he's very solid. It's made a difference.
- Bjelly just keeps on grinding. The little gaffes that seem to plague him are becoming fewer. Thibs has really been leaning on him lately.
- Tyus Jones has come back down to earth. He looked really good in spot minutes earlier in the year, but now that he is part of the regular rotation.....a little shakier.
- Dunn was awful last night. He tried two cross-overs in the same sequence. Both were broken up by his defender, with the second one leading to a turnover. His handles are loose and his passes are often telegraphed. I suspect he will be featured prominently in Summer League at PG for us. He needs the reps.

Over his last several games he has 41 assists and only 4 turnovers. I'll take it for a backup PG.
