Funny his name was brought up I was listening to a 2nd of Bill Simmons podcasts and he was saying he thinks Crowder is the Celtics most important player. He is another example of a guy like Cam said you can maybe find without giving up too much to get. No Harkless is a guy that's been suggested a few times on this board as a guy to target maybe he can be the next moderately afterthought SF to become plenty worthwhile like Crowder, D Carroll, Aminu just to name a few.

Yes, guys like Crowder should be found without giving assets. Problem is that Wolves won't seem ever find these kind of gems. Boston signing Crowder for 5 year 7 million per year deal was absolute steal. Based on RPM he has been 6th best small forward this season and even based on PER he is already top10 starting small forward. I wouldn't be even surprised if he is the next small forward who follows same path as Jimmy Butler or Kris Middleton from pure 3&D guy to more complete player that has even some play making abilities. So I'm pretty sure Boston won't consider trading him to anyone in Minnesota roster that would be available.

Kelly oubre is going to be an elite 3 and d guy in the future. That is one player I would be interested to see if he could be had.

I liked Oubre coming out of college. He is stuck behind another young player in Porter who is playing fairly well as of late. Not sure what we have that they would want though. I would assume they still would like to try to make it into the playoffs....so a vet type is probably what they would be looking for.

I don't know.....there seems to be maybe 1 guy that pops up each year like a Crowder or Carroll. Everyone is now on the lookout for the next one of these guys as well, so it will be tough to sign them. We all saw what Carroll was able to do with the Hawks.....they were a much better team a year ago with him than they are this year without him. He served a critical role with that team. And as someone said, Jae is seen by some as the most important player on the Celtics team right now. He may not have the most talent, but his role is critical to their success. A guy like that fits so well with our team. I would go so far as to say that a guy like Crowder will have a bigger impact to our team success over the next 2-3 years than any pick we take in top 5 next year. This goes to some of the though a poster laid out recently about how we have assembled great young "assets", but eventually we have to put a "team" on the floor that can actually compete.

Its too late to get Crowder cheaply, he's blossomed. What I'm looking for are guys that are more defensive orientated who are raw on the offensive end. I think Harkless could blossom into a 3 and D guy. Jeremy Lamb while more offensive orientated has improved on the defensive side. A likely second rounder who has 3 and D written all over him is Patrick McCaw at UNLV--the guy is an incredible ball hawk (I think better than Corey Brewer) and he has good potential as a 3 point shooter.

They want Bazz. They are just giving up bench players. Maybe a change of scenery helps.
