With Towns playing like an All-Star, I think it's our spot to grab hold of. He's been more engaged, more under control, more aware, etc. Really settled down.

No doubt. After an uneven start to the year, he has really picked up where he left off last year and is moving to the next level (and after that, there ain't many more levels to reach!). He absolutely took that game over last night and pretty much single-handedly won the game for us.

He certainly has picked up his game and rounded into form. I don't know what the numbers say but I want to make more that it seems like the last few games he has really beasted on the boards and in general put in even more effort in general. He has been playing more like an all star lately but someone should probably tell Wenber he plays most of his minutes at PF. Lol

Still have a chance, 3-2 with four winnable games to go. I still think we can do it. One at a time.

You are absolutely right in your analysis and logic except for one thing. This is Minnesota sports. You are entering into a supernatural realm that defies all physical laws and logic. Think Murphy's law. We are the weak link in the chain that will always break. We need your voice to keep reminding us that it is just a statistical anomaly though. That is why we keep coming back for the punishment.

It looks like Wolves have started winning fair share of close games. They started with 1-7 record in close games (3 pts or less margin and all overtime games) but since then they have gone 2-0. I really believe that after 1-7 start, it is much more probable that they have close to 50% record in close games for rest of the season than that would have continued with their woeful record. Probability laws are clearly more powerful than curse of Minnesota sports. :)

During last 20 games Wolves have had record 10-10 which is exactly same than Oklahoma have had and better than Memphis record (9-11). Only Golden State, San Antonio, Houston and Utah are currently playing clearly better than Minnesota in west. Clippers when healthy can be added to list but since CP3 can miss still almost two months, they won't be healthy in near future. I really think that now is time to crab that 8th spot to Wolves.

There you go, 4-2 in this key stretch with 3 winnable games left. Looking better and better to hit that 7-2 mark. One at a time.

The Wolves are one of 5 teams in the WC to have winning records the last 10 games.

1) Nuggets - Wolves should be favored by 4
2) @Suns - Line will be close to even
3) Pacers - Wolves favored by 2-3
4) Nets - Wolves favored by 6-7
5) Magic - Wolves favored by 4-5

The Wolves are in fact favored by 3 tonight. Again, not going to be an easy game but these are the ones we need if are going to contend for #8.

1. First 4-game winning streak since 2012?
2. The Miami Heat (16 - 30) have won FIVE in a row.
3. The 76ers (17 - 27) have won FIVE of SIX!!!

That shooting exhibition by the Pacers effectively nullified our chances of going 7-2 in this critical stretch. When this season is over we are going to look back on all the winnable home games that got away. It's one thing that must get fixed before we can move forward as a franchise. But you have to give Indiana credit, they just couldn't miss. Still a chance to go 6-3 which will keep us in the conversation for the 8th seed a while longer.
