Ok, now that we have that out of the way... what a shooter. Damn. And as mentioned, these aren't just wide-open looks. The step-back threes have been more than impressive.

As unlikeable as he might be, you have to hand it to him. Virginia had that game totally under control and then Boeheim threw that press on them. It totally turned the game around.

Picked North Carolina to win the tournament, and am leading the office pool at this point. Anybody else take the Heels? Most people in the contest took the Jayhawks.

Tucker is saying Buddy is not a good fit. I agree with what he is saying. He is saying he takes the ball out of Towns, LaVines, and Wiggins hands. I love what he is doing, but there is some truth to what he is saying. Sabonis would be a great fit, but not as good of a college player as Buddy. I think it will come down to where each player goes and the role they are given to how they do in the NBA. I think Sabonis will fit anywhere though.

[Note: As for Hield. The one knock I see on him is his lack of prototypical 2-guard size. Isn't that also a knock on LaVine? And even Wiggins in a different way? I'd think the Wolves would dig 3 guys who were more interchangeable than having 2 sorta smaller 2 guards.]

It's tough to see where you get the minutes for Buddy. Lavine and Rubio take up 30+ mpg at the guard spots and you have this or some other backup PG minutes and So what is left? Maybe you could stagger and play Lavine and Buddy together? That seems like a stretch at least for Buddy's rookie year and Lavine still a 21 year old 3rd year player.

Here is the deal do you take the shooter and find a big later either by getting back in the draft or via FA or the other way around? Is there a big SF other than Ingram that's worth getting excited about? The Wolves have options it will be interesting how things play out its still early in the process.

Tucker also said he wants to see Sam come back. So take is opinions with a grain of salt.

Anyone saying Buddy's size is going to be a problem, look at what the Blazers have done with a Lillard/CJ backcourt. They're scoring a combined 45 a game and their team is in the playoffs. The only thing we'd have to figure out is who would be the PG when Hield and Lavine are on the court because neither is a great option.

I think we'd have to be opportunistic and play some three-guard lineups, similar to what the Suns were doing last year with Bledsoe/Dragic/Thomas. Ours would be Rubio/Lavine/Hield with Wiggins catching his breath on the bench for a little bit. Hield could get 20-30 MPG doing that and being LaVine's full-time backup at SG.

Note: That's actually the role I'd like Bazemore playing if we were able to sign him.

It will be interesting to see how Buddy measures out. DX has him at 6' 4.5" in shoes which is what Lavine is without shoes. Same wingspans Buddy has the stronger body but Lavine has the better athletic abilities. The comp has been made of CJ McCollum in Portland. Let's say Buddy is a little longer and stronger version of CJ that would be pretty good. :)

I'll add this if you draft Buddy I think you pretty much need to move Bazz at some point.

And this has nothing to do with his recent struggles. I've been on record for a long time about his style of play...
