I just re-watched the last 5 minutes of this game.......did anyone else notice that we got outscored 14 to 7 in the last 5 minutes of the game? And yet again Love and JJ (Pek and Ricky could just as easily fit in those slots) that had a hard time hitting shots. Our points came from role players until JJ got that last second layup.

It would really benefit the Wolves if we could find someone on our roster to score in the last 5 minutes of a close game

This team reminds me of a distance athlete with zero sprint ability. You can execute a perfect race and look great throughout but you rarely win because the guy behind you out sprints you to the line.

At the end of games when other teams pick it up a bit we don't have that next gear. We can't lock teams down defensively and we don't have a true go to scorer so we're unable to out sprint the other team.

Perfect analogy.........teams know that all they need to do is to stay close.........cause they can out sprint us at the end.

While I generally agree with Rage's analogy, we by all means do have a "true" go-to scorer in Kevin Love. We've been sunk by clutch shooting by the likes of Gerald Green and Zach Randolph this season. Love is a better scorer than either one, but he just hasn't been able to knock down some key shots (and free throws) when it matters most. It'll come at some point hopefully.
