14 seasons out of 26 with more than 50+ losses can do that. One trip out of the 1st round of the playoffs in 26 years can do that.

To make it worse, I don't find the team much fun to watch. In fact, outside of the intentional trainwreck in Philly, I can't think of another team that's less fun to watch. Yes, even though I'm definitely not the biggest Rubio fan here... he helps make a game more enjoyable.

The young guys haven't captured my interest yet. Nothing screams "this guy is really something... not just a young athletic guy getting minutes because he's on an injury-depleted crappy team" type of player.

I agree with all of that, they have not been competitive at all since rubio went out. It is really hard to watch such a crappy team. Every night you get a young guy have a good game but they can't string them together. No three point shooting. I did not expect us to win many games this year but man I thought we would at least be competitive

And as much as everybody hopes for a magical Rubio return... don't bank on it.

It's a bad injury. And a lengthy layoff. A lot of bad habits will be learned until he gets back. And will he be back 100%? Should the Wolves even bring him back if he's not?

It's yet another ping pong lottery season while the masses desperately try to talk themselves into "promise" and "hope."

Its like next year I will be excited and be say there is hope for a good season but I don't think it is possible. It honestly pathetic that you have to mark down at least 20 games without Kmart and Pek. Young might leave (don't blame him if he did) and they are one injury to wiggins or Rubio to be in the same situation next year. I like the team that Flip has constructed for the most part, but only if Wiggins or Lavine (less likely) take a massive step next year it is going to be hard to compete. I am just sick of losing

Rubio should be out the season, dont bring him back less than 100%. A broken leg would have been better than the high ankle sprain with ligament damage.

That mean on December 1st I am looking at lottery picks (Okafor, Towns). That's apathy.

But deeper than that, Flip is a problem. (KekGeek was right) I like his drafting, but he can't or doesn't coach defense and the team cant score three's. It's not just bad shooting - they dont take them.

Perfect off season for me is Towns/Okafor and Fred Hoiberg

Well another hard loss. What do we know:

Shabazz has earned more minutes. He has the second highest PER on the team. Time for him to start with Brewer going to the bench.

Wiggins is not ready to carry a team in any fashion. I am not giving up on him, but he can't carry a team at this point.

Young is in a funk. I don't think he is this bad, but he really is not a rebounder. He needs to be in the lineup with a rebounding guard or wing. (Rubio and Shabazz)

Turiaf time has come. We need healthy bodies with Rubio, Martin, and Pek out. We should look for a 3rd PG or a 6'10" or taller big to give us some minutes.

I understand the gloom and doom on the board...I actually had to turn the TV off at halftime. For me it was Thad Young who made me turn it off. I have always been critical of his inability to rebound, but I have also been a big fan of his character and work ethic. But last night his defense was reminiscent of Kevin Love...no effort at all. It was bad in the first half, but after reading Britt Robson's twitter account this morning, it apparently got worse before Flip finally benched him (he tweeted "Thad Young has not tried on defense for about 6 possessions now". Maybe he was hurt or had that virus last night, I don't know...but he needs to pick it up starting Wednesday.

A couple things jumped out at me in the box score, and I wanted to hear from anyone who was still watching in the second half.

1) Bazz has 4 assists!. He only had 1 at halftime, I thought, so it was encouraging to see this. Tell me about the assists...were they "lucky" assists, or did he seem to be making a real effort to distribute the ball? If Bazzy can learn to play zone defense and to distribute the ball, he is a starter in the NBA. We know he can score.

2) I see that Robbie had 13 points in 11 minutes. I'm a big Hummel fan, but I assume that these were garbage points and that the Clippers had stopped playing defense. Correct?

With respect to Rubio, AP guy Jon K was more positive yesterday on Barreiro about Rubio's return. I have been thinking January at the earliest, but he said Christmas is still a possibility. Let's hope so. This team is completely different with him in charge, especially on defense.

AP guy was not as optimistic about Pek, and suggested that his physical issues were more serious. He didn't elaborate on whether he was talking about the wrist or the feet, but frankly, it didn't bother me too much. If he is out for a long time, though, we need to find a big body to plug in there. The problem is there just doesn't seem to be anyone available, according to Flip.

We could have really used Darko last night. So big slow Pek is gonna be out longer than expected? I'm SHOCKED!!

Maybe Thad Young wants out now?

The guy as stuck in Philadelphia last year. Now this? Maybe he's trying to force Flip's hand. After all, with the writing on the wall that this is a possible 60-loss season, trades will happen.
