Re: Anthony Bennett
Monster said something that made me think the reason we signed him to a contract is not because of another team in the NBA, but an offer from a team overseas. He realizes he is a borderline NBA player. He is going to make money while he can.
Re: Anthony Bennett
The Wolves site posted a video piece on GR3 today. In it Sid Lowe said they are having GR3 learn the 4 spot.
I could see the Wolves choosing between Hummel and GR3 for the last roster spot. I would give the edge to GR3 at this point in time...

I would too, but until GR3 comes into the game before Hummel prepare for the worst. I would love to see an extend run for GR3 in a few games this preseason.

GR3 as a PF? His measurable give you decent size at SF but at PF? Sure I think the 8'4" vertical reach he has seems weirdly short for his height and wingspan, but still I just don't see him being able to get it done there even if you add in his ridiculous athleticism. Hummel? The guy did it for 4 years in college played Center when he had to I think he can get it done at PF for stretches...once again IF HE CAN ACTUALLY HIT SHOTS which I think he can but he has to prove it. Personally I think GR3 should be working on guard skills not playing as a PF. Bizarre IMO. Maybe the Wolves feel like this may be the only way he would ever see the court.

Loved what I saw from Bennett tonight! In a couple years he's going to be a really really nice player!

Why would you want to cut GR3? DC does nothing for me. And if you really wanted DC, Bleed, would it be so horrible to cut JJ or Hummel or even Shabazz? I think GR3 has greater upside than any of them--his vertical and sprint speed are as good as LaVine and I love his unselfish team first attitude and pedigree. I think many people don't realize how good GR3 could be.

Ricky, My thought behind DC is he can play PF. I hope he would never see the floor, but be someone AB can work with. I would rather have a vet that help AB reach his potential then worrying about GR3 reaching his.

Are you the one that is and was always against the Bud trade?

What is there about TYoung working with AB that you don't like? I would much rather have AB learn from Young than DC every time!

Thad's a great vet leader and he can take AB under his wings and I'm sure there are other players and coaches who can help AB, so I don't see how DC is vital to help AB. And we don't need to use up an entire roster spot to cater to AB's developmental needs. I don't want to give up a great talent for some slug with no future here. I don't think the PF position argument is that compelling. We are trying to build a championship team for the future, not this year. We have a lot of guys who can play multiple positions and guard different positions. Flip will be creative with his lineups and get the best guys out there. I am sure GR3 can develop some versatility, he's only 20 with tremendous athleticism, but he hasn't even started his NBA career so lets give him some time. If we need to add a prototypical PF, we will likely have a lottery pick next year and could also add a free agent who will be as good if not better than DC.
