Towns is really starting to try my patience and I’ve been a big KAT fan.
I do want to say I really like Kat the basketball player. If the CBA wasn’t changing I would say run it back. I have no doubts that Kat will be in shape to start the season because he usually is. I’m just annoyed that we have 9 guys working out together (Naz and Garza technically not apart of the organization at the moment), Gobert came over from a different country to come work out this week and I’m annoyed Kat is hanging with Yung Gravy this summer (I have a family friend who is really good friends with Gravy) when he said he is the leader.
In the end I trust Kat will be ready but it’s a bad look for Kat after his podcast last week

Reid is a UFA but Garza can be a RFA since he is on a 2-way contract. It’s probably in Garza’s best interest to be around the team when he isn’t trying to make the FIFA team. It will be interesting to see who all participates in Summer league this year.

Ya Fiba has some interesting rules. You are allowed 1 player not born in the nation to play on your team as long as you have some heritage in that country. Once you play for that country you can’t play for another country (it’s why Kat can only play for DR because he played for the DR team for development when he was in HS). China does not allow people who are not citizens on their national teams. So that is why Slow Mo is becoming a Chinese Citizen and no longer an American citizen.

I keep coming back to the idea that Naz could be involved in a sign-and-trade. And rumors have Boston looking to think out its guards. Naz for Brogdon or Derrick White and whatever is needed to make it work keeps popping into my head!

Tim - I think that’s a really plausible scenario. The Wolves organization obviously loves and values Naz as they should, but if they could get Derrick White in a sign-and-trade I would think they’d do it. I’m not sure I’d swap Naz for Brogdon.
Postscript: Swapping Naz for Derrick at $19.5 million in 2024 would make it even more likely the Wolves exceed the second apron if they keep both KAT and Rudy. So as much as I’d like to make that deal if available, I think it would make trading KAT or Rudy this summer or next even more imperative, in which case I think I’d want to keep Naz.
