Thanks for keeping us updated Carlos. I normally follow the Iowa Wolves once I become disillusioned with the Timberwolves. Well, that hasn't happened yet this year! I'm also not nearly as high on Leonard Miller as others might be, so don't have a ton of interest following his progress.

I know you’re not as high as others, including me, on Leonard Miller. So far, Miller’s G-League play supports your less enthusiastic view of him. This is his second G-League season and his numbers are pedestrian. If he’s going to become the all-star caliber NBA player that many of us were thinking and hoping for, he needs to put up much better G-League numbers on a consistent basis. Garza dominated the G-League statistically last season, yet he’s not what anyone would consider an all-star caliber NBA player. But Garza. Is clearly an NBA rotation player. Miller has yet to show at the G-League level that he’s worth of a rotation spot in the NBA. I’d say the Wolves coaching staff likely agrees, which is why he’s staying in Iowa. In contrast, the Wolves have Minott remaining with the NBA team, which suggests he’s much further along than Miller. But both are still young and it’s way too early to write either one off.

....yet they still lost. I'm skeptical about his defense and he has the 3rd worst net rating on the team, but honestly haven't watched him much since summer league.

I think you nailed half of it. No need to think/follow the future (G-League hopefuls) when the present is so good. But there is another piece too IMO. And that is the main guys I would follow in the G have been spending more time with the big club. Specifically:

* Garza
* Dix
* Miller
I'll be super interested in watching Jaylen Clark come Feb. as well.

While all of them (other than Clark) have probably shown enough in the G at this point, it's probably more exciting to look at box scores and see them dominating vs. sitting on the Wolves bench. But, obviously it's good for them to be available to showcase with the big club too. So yeah, it's not as exciting for me either to look at box scores and think "who?"

They won their last game (results below) and play again tonight:

Daishen Nix went for 32 points - he's a guy I still have some hope for as a developmental guy for the Wolves.

Well, I actually took the time to watch some Iowa Wolves this afternoon much to my regret. They got smoked by the 1-10 Grand Rapids Gold. Minott, Miller, and Nix were all very mediocre and the defense was just awful.

The Triple M picks - Moore Jr., Minott, and Miller - increasingly look like duds to me. That's not good considering the type of salary hell we're headed for and the fact we are going to need some guys on cheap contracts to fill the void.

May be because the big league team is so good, we can convince some ring-chasing vet or two to take minimum deals over the next couple of seasons.

That sounds extremely desperate to me.
