Left index finger sprain. He’s got a few days off.
How about those Minott minutes?!? It might be tough to keep him out of the rotation!
Time for some Lawnmowin!
We're gonna need this guy and we'll need him now. Next year can't exclusively become an evaluation year. Some of these youngins need to be put to the test now.
I'm fine with giving him glimpses of action, but no way in hell should he be in the top 9 of the rotation. But with TBJ traded, he is dangerously close to being in that top 9, especially if McDaniels is out for a stretch.
Doesn't have to be a ton of PT, but a 4 minute stretch here and there when the energy gets low can't hurt.
Next year, we're looking at
Minott
Miller
Clark
potentially 2 first rounders
and 3 new two ways
with no faith or belief that they can even sniff the court unless we're up or down 30. I just watched AJ Green go off (yes, in blowout minutes) but do we even have someone capable of just pouring in 3's? Even if they're not immediately rotation guys, they can't be the nonfactors that they are and if TC is gonna walk this path, we have to know whether he can actually find cheap talent that's functional.

I hear ya. Minott may be will do better in a narrower role than how he looks in the G-League. He can definitely inject some pace and energy, but you don't want him in there in a tight, half court slugfest against another really good team.
Holy crap, what a win! Huge road win with a tough Clippers game coming up, and we end up the night tied for 1st with Denver. Defense, rebounding, shooting, ball movement and protecting the ball were all on display tonight.
Rebounds 43-35
34 assists and only 8 turnovers
Starting guards had 18 assists and one turnover!
55% shooting (51% on threes)
Stifling defense on Giannis...he hadn't scored under 20 since December 17? Group effort, but special recognition to KAT.
This was about as perfect a game as an NBA team can play. Let's see if we can keep it going against the Clips!
Anthony Edwards was asked about the job the Wolves did as a team guarding Giannis Antetokounmpo tonight.
Edwards immediately responded: "Don’t say y’all. It ain’t y’all. Karl-Anthony Towns"
Edwards was then asked about how Towns is sometimes labeled as a weak link in the Wolves defense.
To that, Edwards said: "He ain’t a weak link. Especially when he make his mind up. He’s definitely not a weak link. He can move them big 20s. He’s strong enough to stand up a post player up. He’s versatile. Definitely no weak link."

"...move them big 20s"...lol.
Just when I think I'm out on Anthony Edwards, he draws me back in.

I feel the same way. He’s such a great character. And he’s a terrific player on the cusp of being a great one. MJ had to evolve his game to be the best player on a championship team. Ant is going through a similar process. He has to figure out how to optimally balance his ability to dominate individually with making his teammates better. He’s already the main reason this team is leading the Western Conference, but there’s another level he needs to get to consistently to make this team a true championship contender. He looked like he might be there last night. Remember that Michael Jordon had three years of college basketball learning from one of the best teachers of the game before he came to the NBA. Then it took years before the team made deep playoff runs and eventually won a championship.

Rudy is really the teams MVP I think. If you take out Ant versus Rudy you can still win a lot of games. Without Rudy the Wolves might be .500. The defense is the key to this Wolves team success, of course number one in the league.
Not a slight on Ant though, yeah we need him too for sure. Rudy should be the DPOY again and really got snubbed as n All Star. As far as anyone we cannot afford to lose for a period of time, it's Rudy. He has to stay healthy for us to stay in around the top slot in the West.
To the main point. Jordan really had a bunch of scrubs in his first few years. Pippen and Rodman and Grant didn't come till later on. Ant is surrounded by great talent right now.

Rudy’s been great and I appreciate the Rudy MVP narrative. But suggesting that Ant isn’t at least equally responsible for the team’s success this season doesn’t hold up. Ant’s averaging 26 points with over 5 assists and 5 rebounds. His presence consistently draws double and triple teams, opening up offensive opportunities for others, including and especially Rudy. Ant has also been playing tremendous defense.
Rudy’s been a key to the team’s success thus far this season and so has KAT. But Ant above all others is the player who has elevated this team to where they’re at.
I thought these comments from Doc Rivers were interesting. His coaching gets criticized legitimately, but he’s definitely a smart basketball guy who knows as both a former player and head coach what it takes to win in the NBA.
