Abe's still has no cable... so I had to see this one live review:

- I was surprised by Edwards's statline. I thought he mostly played terrible... at least late. Wow. It seemed like he made multiple mistakes in the 4th... but it only shows 3 TOs. He seemed to be fighting against it in this one... but still ended up looking ok on the stat sheet. I guess that's actually a good thing?

- Speaking of that... this is the 2nd game out of 3 where Randle's statline seems better than how he looked on the court, too. Again, I guess that's a good thing?

- Gobert received a lot of credit for his impact in this one... as he should.

- The spacing as discussed in this thread might be an issue... heck... it'll probably be an issue, either now or in the playoffs. But the Wolves have a lot of time to find wrinkles to try to overcome it.

- The Raptors are not good. They are very bad. Yikes. That's a 60-loss team. There wasn't a single moment in that game where the result felt in jeopardy, and I think both teams knew it. Just look at when Finch used his unsuccessful challenge. No coach does it there, and for that call, unless he knows the game is in the bag.

- There was a play in the 2nd half where Randle had the ball in the lane, trying to bully two Raptors while McDaniels was behind him behind the arc with no defender within 15 feet. Randle bumped and bumped and bumped before missing a short fadeaway. McDaniels shook his head in frustration running back down court. Obviously, there will be a few of those in every game... but it was amusing.

- A win to kick off the home opener. I haven't been to a game with that large of a crowd since the 2004 playoffs vs. Sacramento.

Wow, at the home opener Abe, good for you! Thanks for the summary. I know we don't like +/- in small sample sizes, but as the season progresses and more minutes pile up I do think it will be instructive to look at it for a guy like Randle. He does indeed fill up the stat sheet, but like you said, does that fully reflect his overall impact, which may or may not be as good as the box score indicates? If you look at his career net rating and net on/off rating, it's a mixed bag.
