Re: Playoff predictor
Are we 100% healthy or do we have guys(Naz,Ant,Julius) playing through injuries that would cause missed games on teams with more depth?
Re: Playoff predictor
Fair question, GofZ, and welcome. I think it's maybe a little of both. But for whatever reason, we seem to have far further man games lost than our competitors. I hope that continues.GhostOfZelko wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:11 am Are we 100% healthy or do we have guys(Naz,Ant,Julius) playing through injuries that would cause missed games on teams with more depth?
Re: Playoff predictor
Speaking of injuries, we have to give props to the Wolves training and medical staff. I continue to believe that they must be doing some cutting-edge stuff in order for the Wolves to stay this healthy relative to other teams. And this is multiple seasons now.

Re: Playoff predictor
Just call me an idiot homer, but I think we're going on a run. I wasn't joking when I said 21-5 finish to the season a while back and it's still possible. I just can't help but see anything negative through these green and blue goggles though.FNG wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:06 amIf past is prologue, you will be right, WF, and my wins forecast for the Wolves will be low...Finchy teams always seem to finish strong. And we are hot right now. But we've also been nearly 100% healthy for some time now, and can we count on that continuing? Also, my forecast has home wins against a few teams who are hot right now (Pistons, Hornets and Rockets) and any one of those could end up being a klunker and reducing our win total. On the other hand, my forecast has road losses to 8 good teams, and we could steal a couple of those as anti-klunkers. Right now it looks like a 5th place finish, but 4th is a strong possibility too.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 10:30 amThe Wolves tend to play up to competition though. I would be betting on the Wolves the rest of the way and into the playoffs. Our time is NOW!!!!FNG wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 8:29 am The Wolves have moved into sole possession of 3rd place, but I still have them finishing 5th (tied with Houston, but losing the tiebreaker)...sweeping the remaining 2 games against the Rockets would move us into the 4th spot. Some might question my having Denver finishing 2 games ahead of us when they are a game behind us currently, but their schedule gets very easy in the last couple weeks...I have them winning 12 of their last 14 games while our Wolves are losing 4 of their last 7. Be sure to look at remaining games before getting excited when we lead Denver by several games late in the season. OkC and the Spurs remain far ahead of the pack, and the Suns appear locked into a 7th place finish...3-6 are going to be interesting though. Here's my latest forecast:
OkC 62
Spurs 60
Nuggz 53
Rockets 51
Wolves 51
Lakers 50
Suns 46
And typically when I get too bullish the Wolves fail miserably.
Re: Playoff predictor
It almost looked like Portland might take one in Houston, but the Rockets came back and won, as they were supposed to. However, Denver hosting the Knicks are down 25 to start the 4th quarter. Gordon has made his return, but Murray was lost at the end of the first half with an ankle sprain.
And the Lakers are so inconsistent, who knows what may happen against the tanking Pacers! Although, I expect the Lakers to win...

Spurs were down 26 at half to Clippers. Came back and won. Unfortunately.

Basically since the Thibs era ended from my memory.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:21 am Speaking of injuries, we have to give props to the Wolves training and medical staff. Re: Playoff predictor
It seems very unlikely even with a stellar finish that we challenge for a top 2 seed. Possible I guess. I suppose a Wemby or SGA injury could do it or help. So I really wasn't that upset the Spurs won that one.Mnwild1128 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2026 1:15 am Spurs were down 26 at half to Clippers. Came back and won. Unfortunately.
Re: Playoff predictor
Yeah, we're not getting a top 2 seed. But I like seeing OKC and SAS lose anyway since it shows they are fallible. But these two teams just keep winning. Wemby is everything he was cracked up to be and should absolutely be in the MVP discussion (if he ultimately plays enough games). The only thing the Spurs have going against them is playoff experience. Otherwise they have all the pieces to win a title if they stay healthly.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:27 amIt seems very unlikely even with a stellar finish that we challenge for a top 2 seed. Maybe its the sporadic low energy and effort we all lament that's keeping injuries downQ-is-here wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 11:21 am Speaking of injuries, we have to give props to the Wolves training and medical staff.
